Pompeii 3D.

It was an amazing film. Besides my love for utter death, misery and destruction, the characters were great and I felt either sorrow for the good characters or want for the death of the evil ones.
I'd say its a must-see for everyone.

Ps, as a bonus, Kit Harrington was hot. :p

Finished season 2 of House of Cards a couple of days ago.

All I can say is that it was fantastic. It ended generally how I anticipated it would end, though I wasn't certain how it would exactly GET to that point because I couldn't entirely figure out how they would make it happen. But they did, and it worked well . This is actually one of those times where I predict it would happen like this, and while I'd be happy to be pleasantly surprised, I was perfectly fine it ending the way I expected. I actually WANTED it to. Not often I want it to end how I predict. Mostly because the way that it did end, it opens up a whole new shit fest for season 3 that could get pretty nuts.

Great show . One of the best out there, easily.

Went to see the Lego Movie with my nephew.

Easily the best 'kids' movie I've ever seen. Plus, it managed to star Will Ferrel and not have me immediately hate the movie and his part in it, so that should count for double.

Pompeii. Not bad for a romance film actually, considering when you know what's going to happen.

I was on Netflix a while ago and I watched a 1990 Swiss-Turkish movie (in English subs) called 'Journey Of Hope'.

That was one of the most saddening illegal immigrant stories I've ever seen depicted. And when it ended, it just ended by abruptly pausing on the last frame, fading out to black, and credits without music playing eerily afterward.

In that silence, I realized that these stories - stories of desperate people and their families leaving their homes and loved ones in search of a promised land, only to be exploited and made to suffer all the way there to be buried in a mountain of disappointment and despair - happen every single day the world over. If a poor man was planning to migrate illegally with his family when he still has a choice not to go, he'd re-evaluate his decision if he had seen this film beforehand.

It was pretty powerful for me, personally, to say the least.

I think the fact we deem humans illegal to be one of the biggest problems with the world.

I may need to see this film.

I watched it last night and it was epic. I hope there will be a sequel.

The Lion in Winter, which was fantastic. I really, really liked it. It was basically about King Henry II of England and some of the issues surrounding which of his sons would succeed him. Even if you're not the biggest history buff around, it's definitely worth watching.

Bridesmaids - pretty funny and certainly one of the best films of its genre, but not really my kind of film.

I felt like my brother and I laughed at that movie more for all the wrong reasons than the good reasons.

But yes, as far as those kinds of movies go, it was decent. But I still thought it wasn't very good. I just don't like that style of movie in general.

We are probably not the target audience. Still as a date movie I would rather watch it than sit through Grease or Sleepless in Seattle.
