Audioslave was boring as hell. Also, he wasn't the principal songwriter with Audioslave anyway, the band as a whole contributed to the music.

Keep in mind that songwriting is not just lyrics, it's the entire song, but let's discuss the lyrics anyway:

Show Me How to Live uses pretty typical Christ imagery that Cornell (and many others) employ a lot. Certainly not bad, but definitely not his highest point as a lyricist, or the most well-written lyrics ever.
