Ok, so I love to watch Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel, it's very interesting to see how they haul some stuff for the oil rigs in Prudhoe Bay and the Alaskan Pipelines on The Dalton. The Dalton has got to be one of the most interesting roads in the USA. However, one of the thing that this show does is overhype everything. I mean driving on a haul road that has twist and turn, and you're driving on ice and through snow hauling heavy loads isn't enough? No, they have to act like one of the truckers they're followinng has an accident, and then when they actually show the episode, the truckers comes close to having an accident but recovers at the last minute.

So what are some of the things that TV shows do that annoys you?

Showing everything at the start. My one complaint against Lock and Load.

Most of the shows I see make up Pop and Rap songs for everything. I don't hate these genres, but the songs used drive me insane.

Laughtracks in comedy shows annoy the hell out of me. Yes I know when the character on screen has done something that is considered funny. I don't need it to tell me so.

Overdramatization annoys me as well and has turned me off many documentaries.

Reruns, political bias, laugh tracks, product placement, being a reality show, Chekhov's guns through overuse, frequent commercial breaks, time delay (someone asks a question and someone else bobs their head for 10 seconds, then answers), being at a time that doesn't end in :30 or :00, yellow journalism, so on and so forth...

Drama on medicine and law enforcement shows. My mom's a nurse. That kind of stuff happens only every once and while in the ER, not all day and everyday. Also, channels with too many commercials annoy me.

shows that show all the best parts right at the start. i mean why bother watching it if you've already seen all the good bits? :p

The fact that Dutch TV doesn't even TRY to keep up with series, no they sometimes get those rare rushes where they actually show an entire season and you think by yourself, oh my god they're finally gonna try to not be behind on series by 2 months, but then when you think they're finally keeping up with the series, BAM, they start showing repeats for 2 months. This counts for just about every TV Show being shown in the Netherlands.

My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.
