I've still yet to play the new chapters... But I still love the game, and its predecessor, Undertale. I'll probably watch Shayy play them though, since I haven't gotten around to it.

Undyne presumably knows something about the code to the bunker, and since the Knight probably doesn't want us and Susie to know its contents, kidnapping Undyne to make it functionally impossible for the Fun Gang to get in makes sense. That' just my take.

The knight is probably de-cembering all of their holidays because a few chapters ago noelle cembered all the holidays for some reason

In all seriousness I'm pretty sure it's [the Knight] trying to restrict us and Susie from gaining access to the Bunker, and since we saw that badge next to the code entry madoodle I'm confident Undyne knows something, i.e. part of the code, and the Knight is trying to prevent us from getting further details.

Honestly, what's most impressive about Deltarune is that it not only is superior to Undertale in almost every way (except not being a finished story yet), but that Toby Fox had the story in mind and left numerous references to Deltarune in Undertale, that make sense only now. Like that Dark Darker Yet Darker, and uncomfortably high resonance of bonus boss themes with that unpublished song from Undertale

Also it can be dark despite it being silly, like I'm surprised by how you're better off making joke theories than actual serious ones, as toby fox proved that all of your theories are wrong in Deltarune Chapter 3.

Haven't been into theories, because my friend with whom I play is a veteran Undertale fan, and told me off (i am a newbie, comparatively).

I only finished Chapter 3, but thus far I see my theories getting new evidence.

Spoiler alert
It's practically confirmed that Kris is in some cahoots with the Knight, though the extreme theory of Kris being the Knight is disproven

Ralsei being the lost green pencil from your house has got more evidence

The Weird Route and collecting Shadow crystals is an extreme attempt of trying to obtain freedom and escape the course the game tries to lock us in into. When you complete the Weird Route in Chapter 2, you have a blue bead (same as Kris) being torn out in the hospital, suggesting we broke from the intended path. Apparently, Kris on the Weird Route starts as the Dark Bead in Chapter 4, confirming the importance of that thing

Of course, those are not my theories strictly speaking, but I guess if you try to predict what the game has for you, those are conclusions everybody comes to, so Toby Fox really prepares us for something else (and the premise of Chapter 1 about our choices not mattering has been refuted, suggesting there might be a second ending)

And yeah, I really enjoy the darkness of Deltarune. It hits just the right level of balancing humour/silliness and darkness, amplifying darkness and depressive elements in the end.

I feel things are only getting worse

I still haven’t gotten past the Titan boss battle yet. That’s as far as I’ve gotten but I kept dying. Might try again soon, but it’s been a few days since I decided to play Deltarune for 7 whole hours (not joking) until I got to that point…

Have you beaten either secret boss? The Black Shard makes the Titan fight trivial, you can do it without Unleash iirc.

I wasn’t aware of a secret boss existing, this is my first playthrough of Ch. 3 and 4

ah shit, sorry for spoiling but tbf jevil and spamton pretty much hinted at it. i'm assuming you've already played 1+2 to near-completion, but either way it can be assumed secret bosses will appear in each chapter
