Really decent game this, was just playing it online now. Makes MW2 look like a steaming pile of shite!

...which isn't too hard, I guess

They have those games.

It's also a very linear game. You WILL go where it tells you and do EXACTLY what it tells you. Even a lot of those 'in game cutscenes' have been cut down...I remember a few where it basically gave me only ONE direction to go in and wouldn't let me move my camera at all.

I wish they still had spec ops, that was a great part of MW2. I plan on buying this right after my philosophy paper is due, along with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I am so glad they have splitscreen online now, like seriously how long has Halo had that feature? But I'm not sure how I feel about this whole 'you can't quick-scope' thing.

The "COD Points" system works for me. On one hand, it's irritating to have to work up enough points to buy something. On the other hand, in previous games, so was getting the kills or headshots to unlock it in the first place. And the customization...it's awesome!
There could have been a better weapons selection, especially since quite a few of them weren't even in production—let alone designed—in the '60s. I would have liked to see the M2 carbine, Vz. 58, SKS, Type 63, and perhaps the Thompson, for nostalgia's sake. But damn if lighting up NVA with incendiary shells from a SPAS-12 wasn't fun!
Haven't finished Campaign yet, but it's left me impressed. I especially enjoyed "Operation 40," "S.O.G.," "The Defector," and "Crash Site."
This is Treyarch's best, all right.
