The game really seems to be all about testosterone and machismo, really. Like how a bunch of random guards burning to death in the Baikonur level don't deserve mercy.
It's also a very linear game. You WILL go where it tells you and do EXACTLY what it tells you. Even a lot of those 'in game cutscenes' have been cut down...I remember a few where it basically gave me only ONE direction to go in and wouldn't let me move my camera at all.
You want my opinion, wait until this game goes to the bargain bin before you get it. It's a one trick pony.

What were you expecting from an FPS? An open free-roam world?

My god, you really do have a hard one for dinosaurs don't you? I mean I use to love that stuff...back in 3rd grade...

It's the opposite for me. Since I don't usually buy FPSes, my brother does. While I don't play the campaign, instead watching him do it, I enjoy the story a lot. I'm aware that, while the multiplayer is great, it's not as interesting and profound as the campaign.
But each are great on their own merits.

I dunno, a game that doesn't give me a "MISSION FAILED" because I tried to flank an enemy or went slightly off-route.
The whole Reznov thing was pretty forced too. The guy was definitely not 32 in World at War.
