I literally live off the awesomeness of RATM. They've got me through some tough times. Undoubtedly one of my absolute favourite bands.

By the way, if anyone says: "Nya nya their political message sux lol + they're not commies coz they haz a record label!" then I really don't care: I just enjoy their music. In fact, I think their political themes make way for interesting and original lyrics, compared to "Ooh baby I love you" which is pretty much the sole theme in 99% of other songs.

Yes I do. I don't own any of their music, but I like them a lot. My favorite song from them is "Killing in the Name"
I don't know if they had the Native American plight in their minds when they wrote this, but it fits...perfectly.

I like their music. Tom Morello is a very accomplished guitarist, with a very famous and distinct sound that is really cool. I have met his old guitar teacher, Michael Angelo Batio, who himself is the most awesomely skilled guitarist to ever walk the face of the earth.

Zack De La Rocha has a fairly unique voice, which is also very good; almost as if the Beastie Boys were combined with John Bush (Anthrax/Armored Saint).

However, while I do like their music (as I said), I hate the fact that they are all a bunch of liberal jerkwads. I love America more than almost anything else, and naturally it doesn't exactly warm my heart to see a bunch of yuppies try and scream liberal rants in front of upside-down American flags.

I'm really not too keen on their vague revolution "politics." It just seems like a covert way to make blood thirsty killers like Che Guevara cool. I wonder if the metal bands in Scandinavia are doing the same thing with Hitler.

That said, their music is okay, although not the best. I'm more inclined to like metal like Motley Crue more than this stuff. That said, RAM is on par with System of a Down, if not better.

I find it interesting how in one of his songs, Weird Al Yankovic was able to parody Bulls on Parade, Killing In The Name, and Guerrila Radio all in one track. That speaks volumes towards Rage Against The Machine's tired, rap-metal sound and how they are unable to create anything but re-hashes of the same exact thing.

No. I find their blatant and over-the-top, one-sided politicization of everything to be tedious and boring, and musically they are little different than 1000 other bands doing the same type of music. Plus, anybody who openly promotes and praises the Shining Path terrorists in Peru has a questionable outlook on things to start with.
