For some reason, "Can You Feel My Heart?" by Bring Me the Horizon is used in "virgin vs chad" video memes. I wouldn't call it a meme song, and I'm disgusted by the way it's used. It's a very emotional and significant song for me.

Being as old and out of touch with meme culture as I am, I often only find out a song's been used in a meme, viral video, or whatever it may be years after the fact, by which time I've already known the song and formed my own associations with it, so it doesn't really count. The only song I didn't know before I heard of the meme involving it would probably be "Dragostea Din Tei" aka "Numa Numa" - which I don't particularly like anyway.

I used to like "Africa" by Toto but it's aged poorly for me, especially since all the memes came around circa 2018 and ironically I couldn't hang around anyone under 25 and not have that song come up - even though it came out in 1982 which makes it all the more bizarre.

In fairness, it does have a very strong melody - which, given where and when it came from, was more than likely intentional. Even my grandma says she likes the sound of it - though of course, neither of us knows what it's saying.
