I mean, if you're really that unoriginal that you have to name the sword that they're questing after "The Blue sword" you need a slap to the face.

If someone makes a "Most Hated Video Games" thread, you should be the one to post Daikatana.

Never played it.

That's too bad, because Daikatana is about a trio of morons (including a black guy named Superfly Johnson) obtaining and using a legendary time-traveling sword named Daikatana, which is pretty much half-assededly translated pseudo-Japanese for "large sword."

And John Romero makes you his bitch, so suck it down. And that is a real ad.

A simple name name=bad? I agree, taking "the one ring" to "Mt. Doom" was sooo lame. So was finding a golden fleece. Or the white whale. Or the white stag. Although, Daikatana was pretty bad...

"Voice of the people"? My whole country voted to freakin' BAN that damned book. Stephanie Meyer is creating opiates, for Crissakes, literary narcotics. I doubt that a tear will be shed if that book were to have never been written. It is a fad, nothing more. And if 100 years from now I am told I am wrong, I will turn over several times in my grave. The moment that Meyer is held to the same esteems as Bradbury or Melville or Kesey or Orwell, I will NUKE that woman's house into ashes. COUNT ON IT.

Wow! hypocrisy, even in jest, troubles me...

I'm afraid I cant support your ideologies, while you speak of banning another's (however trivial or insipid)...
My least favorite book is currently, CALCULUS (7th edition) by Larson, Hostetler and Edwards.

Of all the books I've read, there are very few that I hate.
They make no point, they're poorly written, and I've recycled them, rather then let it circulate back into the rest of humanity.
Mostly, it's been bits of military fiction and sci-fi that just depends upon a name or action to try and be worth something. They never make it...
Unfortunately, I'm much more careful about buying books, so I can't quite remember the names of said books.
Currently, all of them are closed, although if you really want something, just send me a telegram.

The catcher in the rye

WAY too overhyped. Stories need conflict and this book has none what-so-ever.

Well i don't necessarily hate these books but i did not like reading them.
1984-Orwell. (Bah sure he was good at political essays, but i read this as a fictional story should be and it's terrrible)
The ALgebraist-Iain M. Banks. (had potential but the author just screwed up a good idea with poor characters)
A Good Day to die. Simon Kernick. (yuk, the plot was okayish but it wasn't particularly well done)
Dice Man. (I just didn't find the intro all that interesting.)

:eyebrow: I think your hate is wrongfully projected. Trust me: there are worse things out there than 451 or Faust. And Ray Bradbury is awesome, you've no idea what you're saying. >:P
