all books have a point of some sort and even if they were boring or you disagree they should still be respected, not hated.

The satanic verses wasn't popular... but apparently unless you get death threats you're not a good writer in the Muslim world.

I never hated a book I have not enjoyed a book but I don't think one should hate a book. Hate of books leads to a situation like the one found in Fahrenheit 451.

Just finished reading "Lord of the Flies" what a sour book that was, depressingly pessimistic, don't get me wrong it was a good read, I just couldn't stand the negative tone. The savagery, the plain ridiculousness of it all. Never hated a book though, but I plan on reading some books I know I will hate. For the purpose of being a rounded debater

And that was a marvelous book. But you cannot tell me that Twilight has the same value and the same impact and the same beauty and power that 451 has. Trust me: there are some books that DESERVE to get burned, that MUST be burned in order for us to continue to develop as civilized peoples.

I kinda liked it honestly but the fact that I haven't reread it suggests I didn't like it that much.

Well, I mean I liked it, I just didn't agree with it's message, really that is the closest I 've gotten.

I don't and never will support the burning or banning of any book. No matter what it is be it "Twilight" or 451. Just because a select audience likes one over the other is no reason. Nor is it a reason when Hollywood messes something up. I don't like "Twilight" but I will support anyone and everyones right to read it.

Pretty much anything by Michael Crichton. I have a sort of love-hate relationship with his books, his writing is good and his plot lines are fascinating, but some of his views make me want to stab him in the face-
