Do you mean the movie (had an official crossover) or is this a reference to something in the comics (e.g. Doomsday Clock)?

This seems to be what people want more than a thread just for Marvel and DC.

1. Doomsday Clock or other comics I believe

2. Fair - my consideration of gaining new thread participants is perhaps a large bit pointless considering the numbers of our usual population

it works. During the height of the MCU it definitely warranted its own thread, but now that we're into phase 4 and the titles are fewer and farther between, a general superhero thread to discuss all things heros/villains related feels right.

Doomsday Clock was very good. I don't, as a rule, read DC, but I make an exception for Watchmen (sort of... never really read the Watchmen prequels, just the Comedian one, iirc).

Anyway, that should be the first poll... "What Superhero media do you consume?" with options like:

  • the MCU
  • the DC live action films
  • Marvel comics
  • DC comics
  • other comics
  • animated Marvel shows
  • animated DC shows
  • Arrowverse/CW DC shows
  • other shows
  • other (e.g. Sony's movies, Megamind)

Except that Phase 4 has four movies coming this year (which is six months) where the other phases had 3 movies per year tops. And then there are all the television shows on D+ which weren't in the other phases either. So there's more MCU content than ever before.

Black Widow is a holdover, and the hype for Shang Chi and Eternals is pretty low for the casual viewer. Spiderman and Venom are gonna be big but that's really it. The Shows are cool but because they're episodic and on stream, they feel like much less of an event. and this isn't even getting into franchise fatigue.

Ad for What If's Captain Carter episode.

There's an idea in there I really like but I hope the actual episode helps me buy in more... maybe I'm too tired but the VA sounded a bit wonky (reminded me of the Blacklist's animated/rotoscoped finale where really only James Spader was any good at voice acting).

What If can be a great success if they do it right. I have hope but there's always a way for them to screw it up.

Watchmen is Marvel, as far as I know, so I was stating a character within that movie.

Here is my list of Non-DC, Non-Marvel characters always wanted to see live action on the big screen:
Captain Cannuck
Justice Machine and/or the Elementals,
Badger,
E-man
there are at least 3 other Comic Book superhero universes that i cannot remember. One was a Spanish comic book vigilante who was a judge that didn't need sleep so he fought the criminal syndicate (who had killed his wife) in the shadow of night.

Recently watched "The Suicide Squad" and I have to say it was really good and a lot better than the Suicide Squad movie with Jared Leto. 10/10 overall.

Somehow, I like the Family Guy characters better, but that's just my opinion.

Okay? But there weren't any family guy characters in James Gunn's version of Suicide Squad.
