The Past... we can't take it back.

A boy once existed
Who knew nothing of the world
Longed to grow up
And soon he unfurled.

He sought out danger
Looked for sex
Thought that would make him a man
He pulled out his muscles in order to flex

There came the drugs
There came the booze
There came the women
And he wound up on the news

He drifted from his family
Changed his friends
Vanished from sight
But he couldn't change the trends

His father died.
His mother died too.
His brother was estranged.
So he drank liquor in leiu.

On his very darkest day
When it couldn't get any worse
He looked himself in the mirror
And began to curse.

"What happened?" he said
"When was I to become a man?"
He screamed at the mirror.
And he looked down at the beer can.

It was then that he realized
Much to his dismay
He had been a man before
But now he was astray.

Ok, so I kind of suck at this, but here it is.

I rather like this. It's, to me, quite honest and it has a good rhyming scheme. Congrats! :)

His Jedi mind tricks are insignificant compared to the power of Buffy's sex appeal.
