How did you get into NS?

My cousin who has since passed away had read about the game and suggested, given my interests in Political Science and History, that I give it a try. That was October of 2003.

I watched a video about the anthem of a certain "Union of Socialist Eurasia" and I was interested to find a NationStates link below. I think that nation's in the boneyard now, but I saw that video on November last year, and I joined NS that day.

I got into a phase where I kinda just wanted to simulate ruling a country, so I went looking for games that were kind of like HOI4 but more on the political aspects and less on the war aspects. I found NS and got really interested in the storytelling aspects of how everyone is able to share their creations with each other. The community and different walks of life all in one universe interacting with each other got me hooked.

Basically his/her reason but replace the "storytelling aspects of how everyone is able to share their creations with each other" with "issues".

That first nation I founded no longer exists, since it lasted a few months (back then NS wasn't as interesting as it is now, to me). I've never resurrected it because I forgot the password. On the other hand, I had a few nations over the years, and there were periods of time were I wasn't active here.

I came here after abandoning another 'create your own country' game by the name of Cyber Nations. By the time I created this nation in 2013, Cyber Nations had gone down the toilet, so I permanently switched over to NS.

Well I originally joined around May of 2018 as New Bradenia, but got banned due to me having my puppet state Communist Bradenia post after NB was temporarily banned on NSPolandball 3. I rejoined, but not without controversy, in July of 2018, I never did stupid stuff like that again.

at some point in December of 2018, i got really interested in alt history and i wanted to make a nation. Many of my friends joined me and later left, but i'm still standing for now.
