If the assassin is female, she has to seduce men to kill them.

We need a H-game/H-light novel where agent 47 has to seduce his female targets with no other playstyle; killing other people means automatic mission failure. Get that alpha male energy flowing (or switch if you want the male assassin to lose, is a bad guy in the fiction).
There's the typical bond archetype but the female usually allied with the bond and it isn't the target and the bad guy is typically male of which the bond archtype usually just kills in the end.
I see a untapped market here.

There are a lot of things in books that piss me off - when they end like I think they are going to end. Always ticks me off because I think they are going to be different when I start reading them but half way through I realize how it ends. Ugh.

The franchise that did it knows which one it is. I'm not naming, but I am shaming.
