Alright, fine. I've been watching the stupid show. I came back for the faint hope that when Ashoka shows up, they'll off her like they should have done before the crappy movie was even over.

Tag post for when I get back from dinner. Now that Bralia's no longer running the thread I can talk about Star Wars. :)

I need a tag post, even though my present non-watching of The Mandalorian means I'm at risk of spoilers when here :p

So, what does everybody think about the Dr. Aphra novel that's coming out? Do you think it'll be a novelization of the comic's story ( like the comic adaptions of the Thrawn novel ) or a new Aphra story in a different medium.

She was practically a teenager in the movie and first few seasons of Clone Wars. She matures gradually and becomes a more interesting and sympathetic character. It's called "character development"; something the Sequels never had.

You act like her age excuses her being an agitating little toad. It does not. I just hope and pray this show does what I prayed someone would do way back when I suffered through that movie and season 1. And that's kill the bitch.

I mean, it'd be logical that the younger you are, the less mature you'd be. :/

Again, being a teenager does not suddenly make me find her any less agitating. She was a suck character. I don't care how much the later seasons tried bending the narrative over to try and make her cool. I hate the little troll, and I hope this season of Mandalorian ends with her 6 feet under.

Anyone wanna tell him that the guy who made The Mandalorian is the same guy who made TCW?

Today I learned that character development is really just bending the narrative and if you ever have an undesirable trait that you don't like about yourself, you're pretty much just stuck with that trait forever, even after you're realistically rid of it.

I mean seriously. It's pretty obvious that she was supposed to mature from an impetuous little brat with an attitude problem into something more. I mean, if you choose not to see that then by all means feel free to continue spouting bitterness. But I think most of us can realize that heroes aren't just born with heroic traits. They have to learn those things, often the hard way.

She was a teenager, dude. She was supposed to be insufferable. But she grew over the course of show just like everyone else. It's not "bending the narrative" or "trying to make her cool". It's character development; the gradual change in one's behavior and personality. The Ahsoka you knew doesn't exist anymore. She's the obnoxious, naive kid Jedi anymore. You're hating a fictional character because of how they used to portray her even though they don't do it anymore. That's really stupid.

Ahsoka grew as a person, just as most people do. Are you honestly so petty that you'd hate a person for 10 years because they used to be an annoying little shit even though they aren't anymore? Because that's pretty sad if you are.

You have met teenagers right? A lot of them can come off as annoying and immature. Most of them grow out of it and that applies to Ashoka as well. If you have bothered to watch past like the first two seasons you would see that. Ashoka in season 7 and Rebels is a radically different character then she was in season 1.

Does this make me Anakin? Cause if so point me towards the younglings.
