Alright, I don't feel like rewinding, what's the deal with these siblings in the Altar of Mortis?

I guess I could google it, but here we are.

Decent work, well done.

I dont like certain things, i think Rey kind of got relegated to being a side character behind the others. Also i agree with LD that there is too much Phasma and im also not too fussed on how you handled Kylo but its not too bad.

But there are also a lot of stuff that i did like such as Finn and Poe, turning starkiller into a foundry, the idea of a mass sacrifice on Exogol to materialise a huge fleet was cool, luke was cool. I also liked the addition of seeing some of the corruption within the new republic and traitors from within working against the Republic.

But it was an interesting read, thank you for making it.

Thanks!

As I said, I wasn't really sure what to do with Rey. She was so overpowered and overly-focused in the ST that I had to give more room for other characters and that meant taking some time away from Rey. Part of the issue was Rey was just some scrap peddler who beat people up with a stick; she's not going to be able to pull the same weight as professional soldiers and mystical warriors. Even the average thug would have more combat experience. Luke at least had experience using blasters and piloting ships whereas Rey didn't even have that.

Looking back, I guess I didn't give Kylo the proper redemption arc he should've gotten but I think a redemption arc works best if it's drawn out and I could only draw it out so much here. Had I been writing a novel series I probably could've done it justice over a period of several books, but alas I was merely writing fanfiction here.

As for Phasma, well, I wanted her to have less of a "Boba Fett" feel wherein she looks cool but is virtually useless so I tried making her out to be a genuine threat who actually does things. I hated how they did absolutely nothing with her and she was just there to look cool. It peeved me. Even Boba did more than Phasma smdh.

I've never liked Chewbacca being in Clone Wars (Just popped up in the cartoon now, too).

That's Star Wars' tendency to overconnect the dots. Wookies in general, sure. Having Chewbacca being really old and old friends with Yoda and now apparently involved with Darth Vader's padawan only to end up as Han Solo's mechanic during the actual trilogy just...I don't know man. It doesn't really jibe.

Star Wars can't help itself with gratuitous cameos. I cite Vader just popping up in the literal last 5 minutes of Fallen Order.

Chewbacca was already old by the time of the OT though. This has always been the case. Wookiees live a long time.

Is it just me or does the Age gap between Anakin and Padme only seem wierd in episode one?

Well, after episode 1, the age gap thing wasn't as big an issue as how Godawful their romance scenes were. Cripes, someone got paid to write those...

Also, the actors themselves are only like 2 months apart. So that helped people forget that part.

In general, the older the people involved, the less weird the age gap is. And the younger they are, the weirder it is. Developmentally, a 14 year old girl is way ahead of a 9 year old boy, and thus, it's weird. But when they're 24 and 19, it may still be a little weird to some, but it's far more socially acceptable. If they had ever made it to where she was 34 and he was 29, nobody would blink at that age gap.

Yeah plus in episode one the oud was like what 8/9 and Natalie Portman was like 20 maybe.

I mean when you live for several hundred years you're pretty much guaranteed to meet a lot of important people, even in a galaxy as big as Star Wars'.

Wookies live about as long as Vulcans from ST do.

So 150-200 years isn't out of the norm for them.

Once again, Wookie longevity was not the crux of my problem.

IIRC, Portman was 17 while filming TPM, while Jake Lloyd turned 9 somewhere in the midst of the filming. So yes, taking their RL ages into account does turn up the weird factor by a notch or two.

I mean they only had three scenes together: the awkward "are you an angel" scene, the space is cold scene, and the time where he visits her when she's back in full Amidalla garb. All of which are pretty innocuous.

Well let's not be to hard on the kid because 1. He's a kid. And 2. Prequel Dialogue.
The whole are you an angel thing is probably just George Lucas using an old pickup line his Dad taught him. I've learned similar from my grandfather. The space is cold thing would be less wierd if the stupid age gap didn't exist.
I personally think the problem with the prequels is they made Anakin a kid in the first movie instead of 19 like Luke and Leia in the OT. At the youngest Anakin should have been 16 when the Jedi found him. Then Obi Wan doesn't age like milk in Exile and the Age gap would be nonexistent or smaller.

Obi Wan ages appropriately for someone living in a twin sun's desert for 20 years. I mean look what it did to Owen and Beru.

Having lived in the desert for a tike myself, that sun is brutal, can't imagine having 2

Its good but its very dated. I played it recently and had fun but got frustrated at times due to the old game design and clunkiness. Its free on game pass for the xbox if you have that.

Though seemingly there is a full remake in the works with a company called Apshyr and its meant to be aimed at turning it into an action rpg of sorts. Some leaks but no official announcement yet.

Agreed. Glad they brought a similar design back for SWTOR.

Agreed. Glad they brought the design back for SWTOR.

They also took inspiration from its design for a rebel alliance ship that showed up in Rebels and Rogue one. Which i think was also called a Hammerhead but it was a much smaller ship.
