In fact, I'd argue that a lot of the content that wasn't made JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson is actually pretty good. The comics have been good, the shows have been at the worst mediocre, Rogue One is at least good, and Mando has gotten really great since Season 1. It's just a shame that the end of the saga couldn't be as good as we all wanted it to be.

Yeah, a lot of the first season was aimless. The problem is you couldn't skip it, because it has information that you need to know later on. It's an awkward balance - too little plot to be useful, too much plot to skip.
