Worst movie you have ever seen

What's the worst movie or TV series you have ever watched? It would be great if you write arguments why you think it was trash.

Watched a movie called Big Ass Spider with some friends. It was meant to be so bad it's good, but it failed at that. It wasn't the most miserable movie I had to sit through because it was fun to make fun of, but it was objectively the worst.

There was this movie that was on Hulu for a minute, looked like it was filmed on an iPhone and edited with, like Instagram or something. Supposed to be a superhero movie but I honestly couldn’t tell you what the premise was or even the characters or the story. Eventually I tapped out. Whatever the hell that was makes all your “The Room” or “Battleground Earths” look like masterpieces.

And that’s limiting myself to movies with distribution. I have a film degree, I’ve watched some monumentally bad student films. And not all of them were made by me.

The Emoji Movie. It was truly terrible, the unfunniest movie probably ordered by out of touch executives for a ‘Fellow Kids’ moment.

Well there are many movies that were so bad that I couldn't sit through them. Things like Red Zone Cuba. Even MST3K couldn't make that fun.

The worst movie that I made it through is actually a Tom Hanks film called Mazes & Monsters. Which basically explains how D&D is evil. And will cause you to go insane, kill people, and commit suicide.

Some strange French thriller that takes itself 100 percent seriously.

Movie opens up with a strange accident followed by the miscarriage of 1 of 2 twins. Wife goes says to husband: “One of my twins. You took him. You took him.” Husband says nothing even though what the wife said made no sense at all Wife starts to go nuts.

After 30 mins of tedium, the wife takes the surviving baby to a beach house and offs the baby off screen (well, later it will be revealed she didn’t really, but that’s what you’re thinking right now). Husband shows up and starts screaming and wailing with pain.

Extremely somber music plays as the whole things slows down art house style. The baby is buried as the husband undergoes “character development.” This goes for 20 or so minutes.

Meanwhile me as audience: “I get that it’s tragic a baby died and that you want to hammer this part in but... the baby wasn’t exactly a very compelling character. It just seems a bit manipulative that I’m supposed to be there with the husband right now... I’m not feeling it.”

Later on...

Somehow this all turned on it’s head to involve some uncaught rapist from 10 years ago... talking just a little bit too much and then getting Offed. Any “mental issues” the wife had was somehow part of this supervillain’s “impressive” machinations. The wife suddenly becomes a Strong Female Character in the most unearned fashion while the husband forms a united front with her and saves the day.

Everyone involved in that movie should have been shot.

Honestly imo, just the previews that were shown on TV was a big enough clue to me to know that the movie was shit.

I really hated Bird Box, one of the worst things I've seen, especially since we watched it with the kids for christmas because my family is fucking insane. (If you don't know what it's about, it's people looking outside and seeing... something, and then all violently and graphically committing mass suicide. The movie.)

Another one I really hated was Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor. What an absolutely vapid and disgraceful film, I usually don't get all jumpy to tackle anyone who disrespects the military, but that movie made me want to punch Michael Bay in the face for the absolute disgrace of a movie to represent fallen Americans in Pearl Harbor. Non-existent acting, stupid love plot that had no bearing or consequence on anything, historically inaccurate as fuck (Japanese pilots never initiated kamikaze attacks until the Battle of the Philippines years later)

Eraserhead: Lack of a plot, lack of character development, boring

Other movies I hated (but are called 'arty' and loved by "intellectuals"): Solaris (1972), A Page of Madness (1926), Stalker (1979), Vampyr (1932), Persona (1966), L'Age d'Or (1930), Arrival (2016), The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), Repulsion (1965), Pierrot le Fou (1965), 8½ (1963), Brazil (1985)

Movies that are not 'arty' but just dumb: Up in Smoke (1978), The Curse of the Komodo (2004), The Mystery of the Leaping Fish (1916), 18 Fingers of Death! (2006 Video), Fists of Bruce Lee (1978), Saturday Night Fever (1977), Cheech and Chong's Next Movie (1980), Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), Jeepers Creepers (2001), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

I can't even remember the name of the movie. Was a found footage movie where a woman went to hell around half way through and the rest of the movie was just her being tortured in hell.

Thank god I fast-forwarded through that second half or else I may have had a headache for longer than an hour or so after watching it.

There was this movie on the Lifetime Channel years ago called Cyber-Seduction: His Secret Life. It's about a teen who gets addicted to porn and the movie is so awful that it's brilliant in a Troll 2 kind of way.

Highlights include:

- The dumbass kid downloads porn to a CD and labels it "virgin vaginas." He labeled his secret porn lol

- The little brother walks in on him looking at porn and then later stares blankly like he has PTSD

- The kid is so ashamed of his porn addiction he decides to drown himself but without drugs or something to weigh him down, he just swims underwater and waits to die as if he doesn't know that he will instinctively come up for air.

It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, I laughed so hard.

Frozen 2 was good in terms of animation(duh), character development, songs and some parts of the plot. But tbh the plot was a bit underwhelming and not that nice compared to Frozen 1. Cant say I don’t like it but I don’t really like it as much as the first Frozen.

I don't care if we have seen it or not, if we don't unanimously agree that Cuties was the worst movie to have been created by humanity then we have failed.

Ontopic though I gotta say it was Snow Queen a couple years back. It was just all over the place, I think a middle school student could have done a better job directing it. Last time I was threatened to spend some "family time" with my mother.
I wish the person above and below a great day.
