Gitana by Shakira.
The goldfish crackers will win. Do you know why they smile? Because when they get inside you they start eating you from the inside out.

Grandtaria: "I would rather live my life each day thinking there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than to live my thinking that there isn't and die to find out there is."
Conservative Morality: "When in Rome, do as the Romans. When out of Rome, do as the Romans anyway, it's not like anyone is ballsy enough to piss off Rome."

Finally fixed: The thread may be gone, but I'm still a "To Hell with This'er!," damnit! :D

Not a huge fan of the band, but this song is awesome. Very hypnotic and repetitive in it's melody and rhythm, and the lyrics tell a good story.

Wow. I can see why Tolkien liked Finnish. I felt like I was listening to something from Middle Earth.

I'm going to go with Jacques Brel's (the original) version of Amsterdam

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMzAmrNS164

I have to admit I don't normally enjoy listening to French much, but this song...! Even before I read a translation it was like a blow to the chest with a sledge hammer.

I have heard a couple of good covers in English, but this remains my favourite. The raw power of the song and of Brel's delivery makes translation almost superfluous.

What is that language?

It's Finnish (the Savonian dialect, to be exact), but the chorus is Pig Latin with no meaning.
EDIT: That video is only the gibberish part of the song.

If you go here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN4cLlIKnoA&feature=related> you can hear the whole thing, and there's even an English translation underneath. Another good song. I should've mentioned this before, it belongs on my list of favourites, along with a load of Russian, Ukranian, Chinese and African music I can't be bothered to transcribe now.

I would if I spoke German, but instead all I could manage was an online translator:
was ist das Kommen über den Berg ist, dass ein Monster?

And as it's German, I don't have a lot of faith in an online translator to get the syntax right. :)
