I'll tell you a story on how I found A-POP.

A-POP is very addictive kind of POP than K-POP. I actually accidently clicked an A-POP music video in 2017 and got addicted on it. The song was Iveta Mukuchyan - Hayastan Jan and i'm amazed on what I see. Nice writing system, Nice looking people and those fantasy like instruments. Before, I like American Pop and some K-POP.

By the way, I'm a Filipino.

Not sure if Darkwave is popular in NS, but I still have an one to share: ''Demolition Group - You Better...''. It is a song by group which was formed in Yugoslavia, 1983, and seems to have fused funk and electro with rock.

(The song is instrumental, but I picked Slovenian, as the group in question was formed in Slovenia)

Does Kraftwerk count as non-English? They're a synth-pop band from Germany, and I like their music a lot. Some of their songs have separate German and English or even Japanese versions, some of them switch between German and English within the same song, and there are some of them that use entirely different languages just for their aesthetic.

My favorite song is probably this one:
Computerwelt (German version)
Computer World (objectively inferior English version)

I am from Germany. For me, the German version works, while the English one does not. It only says, the video is not available, without giving any reasons.

I am from Germany. For me, the German version works, while the English one does not. It only says, the video is not available, without giving any reasons.

You aren't missing much, the English translation basically cuts out most of the meaning from the song.

For me I can't access the German version on Spotify, but I can access both videos on YouTube.

Yeah, that's why I prefer most songs I know in their respective original language (no matter how much or little I might understand of it). Translations of songs while treeing to keep the melody and rhyming scheme rarely, if at all, go well. Especially not with wordplays and ambiguous meanings (Du Hast by Rammstein being an example that comes into my mind). I was just curious as to whether I can open either link on YT - and coincidentally, the right version worked. ^^

Yep. That's quite correct.

Kraftwerk has some songs with actually good translations, but this was definitely an exception to the rule.

Sadly, because Spotify region-locks the original versions, I can't listen to most of the originals. Except for the songs that were intentionally made in languages other than German, or the ones that switch languages within the song.

Basically, the translators were extremely lazy.

Ouch ... yeah, I can somewhat understand why Flensburg was struck out of it (the German traffic offender database is located there, but how many people abroad do know this ...?), and knowing about the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA) wasn't something people outside the German-speaking area could be asked to know back then, either, especially since the original song was released in 1981, where one couldn't just google it. But 'numbers and figures' and, even more so, 'time is money', the latter being a phrase that actually comes from Benjamin Franklin, thus should be well known outside Germany, could easily have stayed in the translation.

As long as it's not English or instrumental creation made by a non main English speaker (L2 speaker English) creator is ok. Theme songs of foreign shows or foreign game bgm as long as it's not English speaker made originally passes here.
