Yeah i never liked conquering literally all of the USSR as Germany, i much prefer going as close as possible to the Urals then making some puppets beyond that as i hate doing anything in Siberia lol

If Finland joined the war with me i would have given them the Karelian territories but they stayed neutral so i made a puppet there instead. Same with the Caucasus, i originally thought about giving it to Romania but decided nah ill make a new country there too.

i always go for as close to the AA line as possible, so the farthest west i usually go is arkhangelsk, vologda, gorky, penza, saratov, engels-marxstadt, stalingrad, and astrakhan, but the pre-barbarossa ural borders were really nice

This is the best looking borders ive personally gotten as Germany post ww2 without mods. Mainly because i turned everyone including Italy into a puppet before hand so they wouldnt nab shit in the peace deal lol

I personally decided to give Spain some stuff in America because they and the British were the only allies of mine to properly join me in fighting in America. The British launched an invasion of Canada alongside me but their forces got surrounded and the Spanish invaded North Carolina and helped collapse the US Frontlines near the coast so i thought "you know what Franco, you earned something for that"

Both Germany and Japan stand divided on North and South while Italy has fallen entirely to the Red Army. France is divided upon the East and West, with the eastern French People's Republic at odds with the western French Fourth Republic. Iran is split upon northern and southern lines. In all but name, the world is divided in half.

The Soviet Union bore the brunt of the humanitarian costs of the Second World War. After Berlin fell in November of 1944 and Rome a few short months after that the Red Army seemed unstoppable until it met its match in the snowfields and mountains of northern Japan. Stalin seems poised to split Korea and China the way he did Japan, Iran, Germany, and France, and the Allies can do little but watch.

The United States was caught off-guard by the attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941 and was on the backfoot in the early years of the war. The landings in Holland and Normandy in the waning years of the Nazi regime prevented Stalin from completely dominating Europe, but the millions lost in Japan have left a scar on the American psyche that is bound to stay for years. President Harry S. Truman has the wartime presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt still fresh in the public's mind and is struggling to live up to the successes of his predecessor.

Clement Atlee stands at the helm of an Empire in decline. Native revolts rock allied nations such as the Netherlands and France while the unpopular creation of an Italian royal government-in-exile in Somalia in late 1945 has rocked the boat significantly. Africa, especially Egypt, is ready to ignite at the flick of a trigger.

The world stands on the brink.

I like it

Always fun to imagine how your in game worlds might go after you actually stop playing them. I remember thinking about that a lot with that ww1 mod game i played as the German Empire where the great war lasted till like 1925 and near 30 million people or something silly died and i had to spend near four years fighting in America for it to end.

- Automated Exploration and Automated Research are now available from the start of the game rather than being tech-locked.

Some surprising QoL for the next Stellaris patch coming down the line. Game Directors going back to the beginning have been adamant and defended not making early game exploration automatic. I guess Eladrin disagrees.

I couldn't hate that more tbh, I hope that gets cut ASAP or can be disabled with mods. Fixed wing sizes just sounds terribad for everything except the major nations in vanilla.

I think i read in the comments below that it can be moddable so someone will probably have a mod up asap that restores it to the old/current way.

I am literally going to have a stroke if they don't add a battleplanner system in VIC3 like HOI4. Literally era depicted in Vic3 is when frontline warfare was more important than big armies which don't cover the borders. The American Civil War, WW1, etc all were fought with frontline warfare.

I'm going send my soldiers south through Wallachia then once I secure the Serbian front I'll move my main forces through the Carpathians while the Austrian lines are stretched too thin to respond. I'll seize Budapest cutting off their armies in Transylvania and effectively end the war before the Summer's end, it'll be so cool.

Not much more than an hour back in Stellaris before I'm flying into a a genuine rage against this fucking game. It's a lot of fun when the AI builds to nearly twice the starting naval cap and declares war on me less than 20 years into the game. Because that's a fun early game experience, right? It's not like the early game is supposed to be about exploration and expansion into unclaimed space, nah fuck that, kill the player straight out of the game for no fucking reason at all. Fucking AI wasn't even an exterminator race, 'cause if it were I'd actually kinda understand that and rage a little less.

Stellaris needs better difficulty settings because low AI aggressiveness is a fucking sham. I don't EVER want to see wars until ~50 years into the game.

I just got the achievement for reaching 1948 in HoI4 and quite frankly, I don't plan on ever playing that far ever again. Once the world war was over the world was irrevocably fucked and broken and there was no point in sticking around, especially because I was playing as a democratic nation.

Prussian Space Marines are so fucking OP. I have 132.5% Discipline, 2 Military Tactics (it's 1540 btw) 42% siege ability, and 4.2 morale of armies. Literally so fucking overpowered.
