So I decided I was going to try and do the Count to Emperor achievement and when I finally got a good run it fails. I am trying to go with one specific county because it has the Haspburgs family in charge and I was able to get a duchy and then another but when my character died we split in two and I lost the reclamation war. Pain.

I'm having an absolute bitch of a time trying to curtail the epidemic of my children shagging anyone and everyone the moment they turn 16 in CK3. I already had to disinherit my first son for being a waste of oxygen and impregnating his own goddamn sister, and I feel the only reason that only one of my other daughters had popped out a bastard is that my eldest is sterile and the youngest was betrothed when she was like 10.

I've had three neighbouring empires ask me to vassalise them in my space vampires game so I have about half the galaxy now with just me and two fallen empires. I might need to make a few bureaucracy planets so I can actually claim all the empty space around me without totally tanking my research.
Also, I got the Baol precursor quest, so I'm slowly turning all my planets into Gaia worlds and also slowly turning everyone who migrates onto my worlds into space vampires.

So in my current Stellaris game I´m going as a fanatic Militarist Spiritualists empire. Over a century in and I´m in a pretty strong postion. I have transcended and breached the shroud(though that has killed my previous empress and an admiral and has not yielded results aside from some boons.) And I have unlocked megastructures and repaired a ruined Science Nexus and have reaserched Dyson Spheres and Ringworlds along with constructing a gateway and the begininng of an interstellar assembly.
In terms of millitary power I am one of the strongest powers in the galaxy. The only one with a fleet to rival me were the honorbound warriors to my north and the recent war I just fought with them changed that. It was only really one battle(they declared on me and I am using it to press my claim on a few systems and planets.) They threw around 86k fleet power at me and won, but it was like the defintion of a pyrrhic victory since my fleet was mainly intact by the end(both of my Titans and most of my battleships and cruisers survived) while they lost like 45 ships which threw them up into like over 60% war exhuastion meaning I simply repaired my nearest fleet and easily counter attacked. So thats what those morons get for declaring on the guys with fucking Titans.

Its soo good isnt it. I got that one in my Earth Consortium game were i got all the megastructure achievements. Turned every one of my core worlds into a gaia planet. But you get some plant people as a result, to me it was fine as i was a xenophile empire but i guess for your vampire empire its free vegetables.

Also helps in that I haven't gotten around to all the habitability research yet, so rather than having my space vampire people stuck on planets with low habitability, or worse, not turning the populace into space vampires, I can just turn conquered planets into Gaia worlds.
Doesn't seem like it would be possible to actually make the whole population of my empire into space vampires, though, not without going out of my way to stop the pops of every other species from breeding or dedicating every building slot on a planet to vampiring buildings.

So does anyone have tips for dealing with the Gray Tempest? I have sercured the L gates and driven back Tempest forces into the cluster where they are not going to be able to escape, but I dont know how I am going to take out the factory cause that system is just locked down with several fleets. And I´m not about to get help from my federation or any other members of the galaxy cause the Great Khan is currently rampaging in the South.

You could try luring their fleets one at a time. Try jumping into the factory system then hold your fleet immediately and see if any of them come to you.
How spread out are their fleets in system?
Also use point defence weapons and shields as they use a lot of strikecraft and energy weapons and those are good counters.

Other than to retreat no.
You could try building a shipyard in the L Cluster and using it to repair and reinforce your fleets and try a war of attrition against their defence fleets with repeated attacks. Or just keep them at bay till you are able to increase your fleet strength to overpower them.
Ive seen people online recommend just using corvettes against the Tempest as apparently they are really good at killing capital ships first where as Corvettes would be harder to hit.

I had two forge worlds that focused purely on Alloys (Alpha Centauri and Mars), and another one which focused on Consumer goods.
