Or preferably it should have the same mechanics as revoke. You can disinherit, but unless you have appropriate grounds you get a heavy tyranny penalty and be disliked by your dynasty/house members. Though given how quick everyone is to the dagger, that doesn't really mean much. Everyone's either an adulterer or a murderer.

If I send out my assassin, no one will find out even I die. This secret will disappear into history.
This may be why there is a Master Assassin on the cover of CK3.I now suspect that the other two is a adulterer and a poor king who is too stressed and about to collapse.

Yeah, always fun to have to throw away hundreds/potentially thousands of prestige and dynasty renown just to keep your realm from fragmenting into a dozen pieces when you die..

Which is hilarious because your renown increases dramatically if your realm fragments correctly. Of course, Confederate Partition is ridiculous because there's pretty much no way to know how it divides things. You might lose 90% of your land but when West Francia partitions the primary heir keeps all 5 fucking kingdoms titles.

Can't you just make confederate partition more predictable by making your kids your vassals if you've enough land or creating specific succession laws for titles?

867 Samanids game-details inside

Decided to try and restore Zoroastrian Iran. Started as the powerful Samanids in the north since I wasn't keen on losing head privileges as the Karens, and decided, 'not playing Ironman so I might as well cheese convert.' It turns out that the Samanid kings were actually descended from Zoroastrians, so maybe this wasn't as cheese as I originally thought. Anyway in the span of two characters I converted to Khurzmata religion and Sogdian culture, then blobbed from my kingdom and formed the empire of Turan.

Starting as my first character, I converted to Sogdian since it was the most prevalent culture in my realm at the time (still is to an extent), and also because I moved my capital to the Ferghana valley for some sweet farmland, which is like 100% Sogdian. I converted to Khurzmadism and not some other Zoroastrian demonination because of the same reason, and because its pluralist stance lowered the upfront piety cost for converting, making the whole ordeal easier on my character's moral bank account. Also it came with the Esotericism tenent, which basically gives you Mystic traits with ease via Pilgrimage.

Onto conquest as this first character, whose name I forgot (actually Wikipedia tells me it was Nasr, but I don't know for sure, could be reading Wikipedia's articles wrong). I conquered that circle of counties north of Tibet, which I believe corresponds to Sinkiang. I had focused most of my conquests there since the realms I needed to mop up were largely feudal, and as such supply penalties weren't an issue while I marched through their lands. Once that was done, and messed around for a while, improving buildings and such.

And then I croaked. Onto my next character, Nasr zk Nasr, which I presume means Nasr, son of Nasr in Sogdian. Really that should've clued me in to my first guy's name. Of note was that he was asexual, but that did not put any brakes on the amount of kids he, his wife and his concubines collectively spawned. Since I had mopped up the east, I needed to nab one duchy from the Oghuz Il in order to do this. Problem is, they were tribal, and supply in their territory was always at 1000 max. This was brutal, largely because of how incompetent I am. Had to load a save again and again so as to formulate a battle plan that well, worked. When I finally got it to work, I took the duchy of Transcaspia, stockpiled gold and formed the Empire of Turan.

From there I began eating up the Tahirids to my south. My Empire of Turan was rather powerful, boasting some 5000-9000 troops depending on vassal opinion (kept clan government despite converting for some reason), and it allowed me to make off clean house with 2 Tahirid duchies over the course of 2 wars. From here I am planning to gobbling up the rest of Iran and then becoming Saoshyant. A Khurzmata Sogdian Samanid Saoshyant. At this rate I should've debugged myself some piety and made my own Zoroastrian heresy, just so I could be that little bit more out there.

It's hilarious when the Vatican gets vassalized by an Islamic empire and the Pope ceases to exist, leaving Catholicism without a head of faith...

I was really hoping that CKIII would fix that little problem with OP Muslims in early start dates and on the one hand, as I watch the Byzantines gobble up Africa, it did but on the other hand, as I watch Andalusians push all the way up the French coast and into Wales, it didn't.

Mind, this is the 1066 start - not the 867 start.

Oh yeah I've got that problem on my current playthrough as well. France and most of Italy have been absorbed by an Islamic empire that spans most of the map. They are pushing into Russia and China as well.

Quickly raise your influence with the CSA to friendly and hope to god that they didn't die a brutal death before that point.

If you want to help the Americans who are going to win anyways send them some money I guess, thoughts and prayers.

You could also just invade either side (or both, go nuts) and take their shite while they're busy with that whole war nonsense.

You usually get a notif when someone declares war on you. Sometimes, when you "inherit" a war, you don't get a notification. You can find all the wars you're in in the low right part of the screen at any rate.
