2 is a completely different beast to 4 though. 2 I can play vanilla, 4 I just can't. There's just too much micromanagement in 4 compared to 2 in the combat side of things.

3 is just ORBAT simulator. Like if you don't have a 1st Jan 1936 save as the Soviets where you fixed their ORBAT you're doing it wrong.

3 was horrible for me. It was literally a mountain of boring administrative work and me constantly going: I just need to finish this bit and than I'll get to the game. And than another thing would come along. And another. And than I realized THAT WAS THE GAME. And that was it for me.

I miss the ability to airlift supplies literally forever. Minsk will never fall so long as I keep building enough potato planes.

I dislike pausing in game unless I absolutely have to, which is probably why I dislike it. 3 also suffers from a rather passive AI IIRC.

You CAN plot against your children in CK3 . . . under very certain circumstances.

More on this, actually, people have collected the details of MANY traits across many vids. It's cool to see just how complex traits can get, rare is the trait that's a simple raw stat upgrade.

It looked promising, didn't like the thinblood mandatory starting clan or relegating the Nosferatu as a DLC clan, but overall I was pretty impressed with trailers and gameplay footage.
