Shout out to Pakistan for almost winning the war against India when the British Raj fragments in hoi4. Literally the best ive ever seen them do, usually either India steamrolls them or its a stalemate which ends with a white peace event.

Im fucking around in another hoi4 run as the USSR with some commands and alternate focuses on and so far had a couple of interesting things happen, though i have not taken screenshots yet. German civil war which has led to the German Empire being established. Poland had civil war between fascists (I think) and Peasants in the east who then became the "Polish Republic". Me and Lithuania took advantage of this and threatened them if they didnt cede the eastern half of the country, which they did and still somehow went on to defeat the Fascists in western Poland despite losing most of their land. Greece attacked Turkey, lost and white peaced out (I guess an event?) then Turkey had a civil war and went.... you know im not sure what route they went, Monarchist i think, ill have to check again.

Hungary, Austria and Italy formed their own faction, a fascist one which is interesting as Italy has went non fascist and seems to be a non aligned kingdom again, possibly going towards democracy. France went fascist, Spain had its typical four way civil war and then Portugal had a communist civil war. I intervened in both cases with some volunteers to ensure the Portuguese communists and the Spanish Republicans won and got some sweet army xp in the process.

Britain went down the Kings party route and invaded Ireland, Mexico formed its own leftwing alliance with Paraguay and El Salvador (I think) then declared war on Britain. America went fascist and had a civil war and ive seen some tanks and planes to fight for the democratic american forces, helped capture Washington, defended Baltimore and New England, currently fighting in Pennsylvania. They are losing badly out west to the fascists though so probably gona lose long term but im mainly getting as much xp as possible.

Im wondering how wars are gona kick off in Europe. Germany and Britain being both monarchies might ally up, France could end up attacking Italy or maybe me, the soviets will start the war. Ill tale some screenshots next time i play if anything else interesting happens.

Honestly during my Communist India game Pakistan was doing well enough against me I ended up save scumming and manually justifying on them after letting them go. It was a pretty effective cheese since Pakistan was unable to spawn any units since they did not get the ones that spawned during the civil war event and I just walked in. Same thing to Burma except they managed to get one division out.

Any suggestions for a German minor to play as? I'm fairly experienced and just want to enjoy a cozy regional game, but can't decide where to play. After the micromanagement of my colonial empire I don't even want to look at the Atlantic Ocean for a while, lol.
