Answering to the poll, I'll have to start with my beloved Portugal. I just hope Vic 3 has better gameplay for minors, because Vic 2 was just a bit boring for me, it was all about the Major Powers. Meanwhile I'll continue my mega campaign, currently going hard in the 17th century in EUIV.

Really? I can't think of anything more important. Anyway, even if Northumbria is not in the game, I will mod it in.

Current Prussia game is getting hairy. it's 1600, and Austria has been gimped after the religious war, with only Austria Proper to their name. Ottomans are basically a freight train, I have 80K troops and can muster 130% discipline on a good day, They're going to be the final boss, I just know it.

I mean there are several wars and genocides going on while several prominent states are entering into social, economic, and political decline and the threat of war between major powers is looming while we're all trapped in an unavoidable impending ecological collapse right now but, sure, a minor feature of some video game is definitely the most important thing in the world right now.

Oh! A Northumbrian derailment! Haven't had one of those in a while

HOI4 desperately needs riverine flotillas added. Many countries operated them throughout the war and the potential in mods would be spectacular and would add a new dimension to land warfare. Having rivers and lakes be able to convey supplies (less-efficiently than railroads) and have ports along them would enable amphibious operations to be possible inland or in large lakes (something that historically happened). You may say that it would be a pain in the ass to implement and find commanders for, but on the contrary, the already-implemented Railway guns provide a great precedent for how they could work. You could build river-monitors and instead of having them exist as a separate command, be attachable units like the railway guns that provide fire support like railway guns (and maybe some AA cover depending on what they go with) to units near them (as well as potentially providing a nerf to the penalty for large river crossings), and their movement could be restricted to large rivers and lake provinces. If it is possible, they could add the ability for river monitors to fight each other with support from ground and air forces to contest control of waterways. The capability to implement it already exists, there are mechanics already built that provide a great and resource-saving template, and it would provide the player with new experiences an opportunities (especially in mods -- imagine conducting amphibious operations on the Great Lakes in Kaiserreich for example). The USSR, Romania, and Hungary fielded large river flotillas during the war, and river flotillas were a major way for Great Powers to exert influence in colonial countries, it feels weird to have them not be represented at all.
