Planning to do this in my newest run.

Start as Norse, unite Scandinavia, conquer the British Isles, create Anglo-Norse, then invade Hispania, get involved in the Struggle for Iberia, create some perverse Anglo-Hispano-Norse hybrid and build a new empire on the peninsula.

People act like corporations trying to take even a single dollar from a person is a fucking death sentence and deserve death is response. And at my core, I kinda agree. I am genuinely a communist after all. But the thing is I have to live in this dogshit capitalist society. I'm doing the best I can to support the few good practices in the system where I can find them, and give money to the people who actually deserve it. Which is a pursuit that seems anathema to the gamer community who always want everything for free.

But I'm just venting at this point, I'm probably not continue this conversation.

A company has, as a body, a bad incentive structure. Within that company are people trying to do their best at their job, in this case, trying to make a fun game. They put a lot of work in, and while we can bitch and moan about the details all we want, but there has to be some understanding and respect for the actual people, if not for the matrix of decisions they are making.

HOI3 has sliders that can change your ideology iirc but usually only very slightly and only every now and then.
