Jesus fuck I hadn't realized how utterly OP Tribals are in CK3 until now, you can basically utterly and completely wreck nearly any enemy in early game. Like. I started with literally one country and I was King of Norway within the guy's lifetime. I wasn't even some op character like Harald Fairhair (I was hoping to go capture Normandy and become Norman but like. This was easier) The only thing that helps debuff them is Confederate Partition. Jeez, no wonder Scotland keeps conquering all of Britain. What's more is, by the time everyone else has got to the point the tribals' raiding and prestige MoAs no longer can affect them, the tribal fucks have captured enough land that they become invincible when they feudalize.

My Scandinavia game is going really well right now. Germany tried to take my half of Schleswig-Holstein in the 1st Great war, but I had Russia, France and Britain on my side. I took their half of Schleswig-Holstein in the peace deal plus eastern Hanover giving me an extra 5 regiments in Europe and some extra factories. The 2nd Great war 5 years later utterly destroyed the German army. They lost all of their regulars plus Bayern to Austria-Hungary and are currently getting sieged out by Poland who wants west Prussia(Russia lost so many men in the 1st great war that they got knocked into secondary power status and no one was willing to support their claim after I supported Poland in a Crisis)

Edit: Yugoslavia formed but it's only that small chunk of Serbia and Montenegro.

I'd recommend waiting for the next update, it's pulling a Stellaris and reworking basically everything. Ask again in a few months, I wager.

Made a "What if prosperity gospel, but actually" race in stellaris.

Necrophage, corporate authority, gospel of the masses.

Xenophobic, spiritualist, egalitarian.

Necrophage means slaves with egalitarianism for the main pops. Xenophobic works well with necrophage for occasional bursts of purging.

Communist vampires with prosperity gospel about how you too can become a communist vampire if you pray hard enough and donate your money to the church.

In the next update yes. Until now, the only countries worth playing were Rome, Carthage, and the Greek cities, but the next update will finally "complete" the game

I just bought CK3 and did the tutorial. I'm trying to decide what I want to play as in my first real game, as none of the achievement starts jump out at me right now and I don't have a real desire to go for my usual start as England. I'm thinking about somewhere like Persia where there's a mix of cultures and religions to toy with.

Celtic Christianity game, break from Catholicism and make something more folksy.
For some reason I just love the Arthurian idea of combining the new Christiainity with traditional Pagan views.

You know, I literally have never reached more than mid-game (I usually get bored in the 2280-90s) so today, I got to 2300, and finally beat my first leviathan. The feeling you get when you make one of them your bitch is amazing -I also destroyed a marauder state right before they could form a Horde which is also good. But sadly, I'm getting bored again.

Interesting choice by Paradox to make Bosnian a culture in CK3 when no one can agree if it's even all that different from Croatian or Serbian even today, let alone a thousand years ago, but also re-removing Albanian, which is definitely something that's actually different and actually existed.

Edit: Perhaps it's just because I'm not used to it, but as of right now I'm convinced whoever created this UI has never played a video game before. Why are all the relevant buttons tiny and crammed into one corner?

My favorite UI so far is definitely HOI4’s, with EU4 being a close second. Imperator and CK3 are way too confusing and/or awkward for me

Honorable mention to the Duke of Israel in A MP CK3 game. He lived to be 103, outlasted children, grand children, and several nations. He saw the secession and reclamation of Egypt, he overthrew the Caliph for a new one, and witnessed the collapse of the Calpihate after. The world will never again see the greatness of Duke Benjamin Netanyahu.
