Anyone have any experience using glues like the Tamiya plastic cement ones with the brush caps? Was thinking of picking one up but not sure how good they are.

Given how the plastic used for Warhammer miniatures seems to be the very same as used for regular model kits, I'd say that it should work.

I use the Revell Contacta cement with no issues.

So now I want to dig my brain out with a spoon because I’m getting indecisive.

Do I bring back my old Imperial Fists army in Primaris form, or do I do it for my old Blood Angels army instead?

How well does the Horus Heresy adapt to table top rules? I'm curious to how a larger, better equipped, and better supported marine force would fare.

The revel stuff is OK although my bottle of it never really sealed properly and it got knocked over, melting my inquisitor's sword :(

Gw used to sell their poly cement in a brush tub more or less identical to the revel one and I've used the tamiya stuff once and it was fine.

Personally I like the brushs pots but I've got a pile of the gw needle point bottles so I'll be using them for the foreseeable.

I don't know the exact numbers worldwide, but I don't see a lot of Steel Legion in the wild. It sucks hard, but if no ones buying... well, you can still buy third party models for non-tourney play

Well you probably don't see a lot in the wild because they aren't that well supported. They were more expensive, have a much more limited product line, and the models they did have had some issues integrating with current rules (looking at you heavy weapons teams). I've seen someone playing them and he had to do a bunch of conversion work and counts as to make the army fit better.

Also they discontinued the Steel Legion heavy weapon teams a long time ago iirc

I always found it weird that they kept the one squad of metal steel legion guardsmen, got rid of the rest of the steel legion stuff and the more expansive metal regiments too like the Vostroyans who had their own command team too (as far as i can remember the Steel Legion only had individual lieutenant models but the Vostroyans had flag bearers etc). I figured with them being one of the smaller regiments they would have been axed as well back then.

Very well could have been they had the stock still around and just weren't doing any new production runs on it. Last chance to buy could just be them making the status official/making people rush to buy the remaining stock to open up warehouse space.

GW never really supported non-Cadian sprue IG armies though, Kreig is the only one that jumps to mind for having more than just a couple of sets if that. It's probably not cost effective for them, and I get it from a business point of view, but I am hoping this leads to more people exploring third party and 3D printing for models.

If they were smart about it I think they could make it work. Treat guard regiment upgrade spruce like space marine chapter upgrade spruce.
