Ive not painted anything in a few weeks now as i was not in the mood but now that ive finally got some primers back in im gona start work on my Baneblade. Just got it primed up now and am planning on painting it similarly to my Leman Russ i posted on here last year i think it was. So green body with some red and cream coloured stripes at the front. Or maybe because the Baneblade is unique i might give it another stripe pattern instead. Maybe red and yellow or something.

Speaking as someone whose favorite color is yellow, I don't think it pairs well with red. Better paired with something like black or grey.

I like Red and Yellow together but i dont know if it will go well with a primarily green hull. Red and Beige works well with that but i want to do something different for the Baneblade.

Im thinking maybe a dark blue and light grey instead.

Beast Snaggas army box and Cadian Shocktroops are getting a new upgrade sprue!

Got some female head options too which is neat. I would have appreciated a completely new cadian sprue instead of an upgrade sprue (or another regiment all together) but this is still nice and gives you more options without having to kitbash from other thing as much. And should help make them look a bit fresher.

Oh and the Beast Snaggas stuff looks cool too and im guessing it will be the replacement for the start collecting box they removed.

...So I lost one of the arms for my Sister Superior in the carpet. And because the model has separate biceps and hands it's not something I can get around by just going with a different wargear option.

So the dreaded carpets claim another victim. I have lost so many vital parts to it over the past decades.

Yeah. So I either hit up one of those Bitz sites for a replacement or just get a whole new squad and use the extra Sisters to bulk out my Retributor squads a bit.

Kneel down on the ground and comb every strand of the dreaded floor jungle to find the missing piece. Lighting equipment is essential.

Yeah you could use greenstuff maybe and give her a stump, make her a scarred veteran missing a limb as a flavour aspect for the squad.

Did GW forget that Snakebitez don't use more than the most basic technology or did they forget Snakebitez existed entirely?

IIRC they said something like beast snaggas can come from any clan but are most common amongst the snakebites.

Of course when they give the beast snaggas a runtherd character the more it looks more like its a replacement.

I also get the general feeling that the clans are more just a colour/flavour element these days rather than being a source of specialised troop types ie not all speed freaks are evil sunz, not all flash gitz are bad moons etc etc.

You know, the more I look, the more I can't decide how I feel about the new cadian bits.

On the one hand, those new heads look badass, it's about time all of the special weapons choices were in the kit by default and it'll be nice to get some more variety of IG.

But on the other hand, for me one of the biggest problems with the IG is the poses for the lasguns. By default, they in all honesty only have 6 viable poses in those boxes, and in your typical squad you'll be building 8 or 9 lasgunners. A completely new kit of sculpts would have to come with some new poses, which'd be the real victory for the guard.

Oh, and if they took that hostile environment head and sold boxes of just those they'd be some of the best selling boxes in the entire range.
This nation is modeled on being my absolute worst dystopia imaginable. In no way do the Annihilators reflect my opinions, in fact I am totally against almost every single policy they enact.

There are a dozen 3rd party producers who make a myriad different variations of Imperial Guard heads. Most of those look as good if not better than the new Cadian ones.

Damn, glad I decided on a whim to just rewatch his classic works the day before. Bloody prescient.

It's a weird situation. On the one hand, you're happy because the animators are getting recognition and stable employment, which is super cool, but on the other hand their works get yanked off of youtube and sectioned away on warhammer's site where nobody is going to just stumble on it.

And not to mention the unique creativity of each of those people gets... tampered with. Watered down. Everybody's been talking recently of the Iron Warriors guy, who was making a series of loyalist Iron Warriors vs Dark Eldar - a unique and creative match up that is now being redone to have the series be Iron Warriors vs the Imperium, because that match up's never been done before. But also a bunch of these animations get retouched up for no good reason once on there.

RIP, Sodaz.

At least this little treasure will always remain.
