That would be a safe assumption. Interestingly, that would also imply that the ammo is stored and fed through the shield itself, which is a novel use of the magazine.

To be honest, so would I. Spear and shield has historically been an extremely common and effective combination on the medieval battle line, and no reason why it shouldn't be represented in Warhammer. Halberds on the other hand... well, let's just say they were great 2-handed weapons.

I imagine power armour helps there, but I cannot say I do not feel the same. If it were a smaller shield, or attached by a shoulder-strap, it would be a little more reasonable - but then, when have Games Workshop ever been that?

To be fair Sorisatas PA probably negates any disadvantage of wielding a power halberd with a storm shield

On The Guns of Tanith now. Honour Guard was pretty good. I liked Vamberfeld's arc, though I wish it was fleshed out a bit more. There was a great opportunity there to talk about mental health and PTSD and stuff.

So.... Warhammer Quest: Cursed City has been completely removed from the GW website and they are not doing any more copies of the game. And apparently they are removing mentions and statements about the game from their own social media channels (like posts they made saying it would be available at a later date) alongside promotional material so.... whats happening?

Cursed City is sold-out on http://games-workshop.com and we are not expecting it to return online. Many copies have been sent to local stores across the world. Please check with your local Warhammer store or independent retailer to see if they can help.]They said they dont expect it to return online and if you want a copy your best bet is to check with a local company

Maybe its some legal thing or a production issue? I cant imagine they would just dump the game after its initial run after hyping it up soo much and people being really excited for it because if so thats really fucking dumb.

Random guess is that the printed materials for a follow up batch are stiing on the Evergiven and are currently being "cared for" by the Egyptian government. Any further print runs are probably at least a year out.

Either that or they planned to "haha space hulk" everyone all along.

One other thought, maybe it's a push to get folks back to the actual stores, I know my local gw store is bigging up the fact it will have all the stuff everyone missed when it reopens on the 26th.

I can imaging him as a proto-Eversor.

Not my best work, but fit for purpose. Making it more draconic was frustratingly tricky, I am still quite clumsy with sculpting green stuff.

Danke! I was just rooting through my bitz boxes for something whose feet would fit on the pillar, I think the body is from a Valkyrie pintle gunner

Personally I've subscribed to the theory that the Doomguy is already in 40k. They just call him Kaldor Drago instead. Mean, think about it. Kaldor Drago is ultimately just a really angry grey knight rampaging through the warp killing demons all day. Just like the doomguy.

Sounds like his idea of providing the hams.

Anyway, just read Choose Your Enemies. An Avatar of Khaine going Dynamic Entry on a Slaaneshi daemon sounds like one epic fight.

The way you describe said event, it actually sounds a bit as if they are doing something else than fighting.

Bethesda only publishes them, ID Software develops them.

Doom always had an epic story, with lots of hellspawn. So much hellspawn.

And a serving of extra hellspawn.
