Gamers are going to complain if they can't throw their money in GW's general direction, so it's all good. Now go out there and buy that stuff. Buy ALL the stuff!

They've gotten at least a bit more sensible with actual savings when it comes to particular box sets and the like; probably because they replaced their old CEO with someone with actual business sense.

That being said, they're not a charity, so you're still gonna have to sacrifice your wallet's contents to appease the Chaos god of Money; it just won't happen as quickly as before.

Chartreuse is my favorite color.

Oh, absolutely... if only in order to have a civil discourse concerning the depiction of female characters in miniature wargaming, followed by an equally civil discourse concerning the depiction of male characters in miniature wargaming. Then we'll move on to the various xenos. It is important to be thorough.

This is her:

Front 1
Front 2
Back

edit: noticed i missed a tiny bit of extra resin on the bottom of the boltgun, ill snip that off later

Her proportions are off slightly compared to say a cadian but thats because she isnt heroic scale like 40k models tend to be. Instead she is more.. i guess realistic looking? Still a 28mm model tho doesnt look too different imo and i dont care that much

That most certainly is a certified Imperial Commissar. Better refrain from telling that joke about the Emperor, Slaanesh and Khorne going to a bar.

I was thinking of getting a squad of female guardsmen from victoria miniatures or something to keep her company. Might even do it as a kill team project

I have some of the old Doctor Thunder female cadians which I got way back before I got my Praetorians but I haven’t build or painted them. Maybe one day. Never managed to track down any of the catachans though.

Had an extremely grindy game against Necrons yesterday. I dakka-blasted the Silent King off the map in the very first turn and was in high spirits for having taken out a quarter of his list in one fell swoop, but his legions of Necron Warriors became my undoing (he had 60 Warriors in his list). At the end of the game I had killed 130 models (I counted because of "Thin their ranks") and he STILL had most of his army on the table and was holding the majority of the objectives for 3 turns straight because those bloody tin buckets just kept coming back. It was a close 90 to 84 pts victory for him.
Next time, I'll probably bring a bit fewer big guns and more stuff like Leman Russ Punishers and Scions with Volley Guns to mow down his foot soldiers.

Ooof, Necrons versus Imperial Guard. That is just going to be 2 meatgrinders slowly whittling away at each other.

Other than extra heavy bolters what would be some weapons that would work well for giving my non-primaris chapter? Obviously the Terminators use assault cannons but I feel I am missing weapons that a chapter which is basically one big Devastator company that makes the term "overwhelming firepower" feel like an understatement.

So apparently the Dark Angels have a new stratagem where they can target an infantry character because that character knows something about the Fallen.

It took just a few seconds for someone to notice that the tyranids have infantry characters....

There is no lead to insignificant too follow. If the Inner Circle thinks a synapse creature is somehow connected to the Fallen, they can and will question it, even if the only thing they are going to get out of their torture session will be confused screeching noises.

For some reason this reminded me of the time the Dark Angels failed to notice the disguised Changeling on the bridge of their flagship even when one of their Librarians was actively reading its mind.
