I have heard of the usefulness of 'paint pens', but have never been able to find any in my searches.

The pens i used were Graphic Line Markers in case you want to google. They are not Paint Pens though.

He is a warhammer youtuber, quite a prominent one that unfortunately seems to serve as a lot of peoples first introduction to the setting. But he is a colossal racist alt right shit head and one of those that cries that the SJW's are trying to kill warhammer and other such bollocks.

Someone went onto his discord and gathered these images and put them up on reddit for people to see what he is really like

Here are the other angle shots for my Terminators. I am planning to paint the other power weapons for the army in a similar way, but am undecided on whether the paint the Power Fists in the same way or to paint them white like the gauntlets of these. Annoyingly, none of the chapter symbols turned out as good or went as smoothly as the one on the test model.

Well that's reprehensible. All doubt that Arch is a terrible person removed.

These are amazing. Stop making my plastic toys look bad!

But honestly these are super cool! Love the chaos terminator tusks, really fits the 'Space Mammoth' name as well.

If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. Eh. My main issue with that is...

A.) Faking a persons display name on discord is easy as fuck.

B.) It comes out of the cesspool known as Sigmarxism.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it were true, and am not too fond of old archibald. But I'm also not willing to give anything out of Sigmarxism the time of day.

It's all true, they've been actively removing all the icky content from the Discord to try and make it look as if it's fake - but this is the same man who described Gnoblar as "house [slur for black people]", did some nice collabs with The Golden One and Richard Spencer, and has one of his mods talk about how child pornography should be legal. There's an entire Mega folder of their shenanigans.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true and don't care for Arch to begin with.

I am greatly disappointed in Arch, I liked his videos quite a bit when I was first getting into Warhammer.

Honestly, while their recent statement was annoying. Warhammer is one of the few IP's where I feel they've done fairly well at increasing diversity without screwing everything up.

In general, I agree. Although I'm not fond of the almost absurd insistence at having (physically) strong females in 4th edition WFRP. From having female soldiers, female watchmen, female miners (really), and so on, through the art, fluff and setting. I can recall two situations where a female replaces another female in a high-up militaristic leadership position.

Just to be clear, I have nothing against powerful females, or even female warriors. It's just taken to such extremes where it seems like physical differences between men and women have been completely removed for sake of diversity, with no care for the effects that would have on any society. The feminist "More Female CEOs!" meme comes to mind, because the Empire is still patriarchal and oppressive.

The Warhammer world is a vastly rougher place than our own history, if humanity has been dealing with that since its evolution, it would make sense for women to be no less strong than men. I do however agree that the lore of the Empire does not represent such equality well, as the tabletop game did not. They are making strides, but the lore of the world has yet to catch up - and, given that said world is currently defunct, I imagine that developing it in that way is not foremost in their minds.
In Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, I imagine it is primarily to show that you can have male or female characters of each profession, and likely also just what they were used to after Dark Heresy and Only War, which is the primary source for artwork of non-Sororitas women in Warhammer 40,000.

Both good arguments, although I contest that the Old World is much more violent than our own. The enemies are more terrifying, but the way Humans win wars in the setting hasn't changed much. It's still recognisable armies with gunpowder weapons, plus a little bit of magic. I don't think being butchered by a beastman instead of a marauding mercenary would erase strength differences between genders. Not to mention the importance of women as creators of the next generation.

The second argument, while rings true, comes across to me as condescending pandering (maybe female players do appreciate that representation?) and is undermined by having gendered careers like nun and riverwoman.

Admittedly, it is a personal quibble. I much prefer the 1st edition WFRP aesthetic. A gritty, often comical, historical pastiche.

The book states that the 'gendered' careers are only as much in name and can be easily used with another, ie the nun career can be followed by a male character, warrior priest by a female character, etc.

It does the same with race-specific classes like the flagellant - suggesting that if you have an idea for it and your GM's on board with it you could make, say, a Wood Elf Flagellant (although probably not a Sigmarite one!) although that's obviously not a thing that can happen when rolling up a character randomly.

This definitely reminds me, though, of just how much I love the artpiece in the book for the Nun career.

One thing I don't quite understand about Empire lore is why the never undertake to chop down those massive woodland areas inside imperial borders that are a constant source of Beastmen and other nasty shit. Large scale deforestation happened in Real Life Central Europe during the 15th and 16th century too.
