They unearthed a pair of STC's for Johnny Cash music and spaghetti westerns and it just went from there.

What, like this one?

Don't think we really know the Eltharin terms for anyone outside of the various Elven sects (Asrai, Druchii etc.)

There's a bunch of Eltharin words we know listed here - https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Eltharin

No term for 'Dwarf' though.

I have finished the Command Land Raider for my Space Mammoths chapter, the Guyuk. It is a model I have owned for a decade and a half and repainted several times in that time, so it may be getting a bit thick, but I think it turned out decently. I decided to try quite a bit of freehanding, as I still consider myself terrible at it. They have the Chapter Trait 'Warded', so I painted apotropaic runic names over the hull.
Three of the designs are campaign markings, with the names beside them, in honour of three of the greatest battles the 1st Company in the past few centuries - the Siege of Zalathras against an overwhelming force of Orks alongside a mighty hero, the Battle for Orar's Sepulchre where the 1st Company Captain broke the Wailing Doom of an Avatar of Khaine at the cost of grievous wounds, only to be saved by a mighty hero, and the Battle of Barathred where a traditional celebration with the feudal natives was interrupted by the crash-landing of a mighty hero's ship followed by a mass invasion of hundreds of Night Lords. Anyone who has heard or can guess about those battles and remembers the gimmick of my Chapter I have mentioned a couple of times will see the gag I am going for.
The other freehand design on the side-door is their culture's image of the Emperor. The chapter's homeworld was rather hastily incorporated into the Imperium during the Great Crusade, so they did not bother with the Imperial Truth and just slapped the Emperor on top of the culture's solar deity (who happened to be female, but no-one bothered to check). Even when they become Space Marines and thus learn what the sun really is, this does not change their view, as they also learn about the Astronomican and decide that while the Emperor is not their sun, that just means She must be a different kind of sun.

Wish they had given us a little more of a look at how the rules will be updated/changed. But as an Imperial Guard player who likes his flyers most of what they said had me happy.

Thank you, that is a very helpful compilation!

I was hoping for a Primarch, but I am not too disappointed, it was an excellent stream. The only thing I was displeased with was their announcement of an increased focus on command points, as I personally feel that command points and stratagems are the worst part of 8th edition, and was very much hoping that they would scale them back or remove them altogether.

I got soo excited when they showed the imperial guardsmen in that animation, thinking it was going to be the reveal of a new Cadian line or something. And then they died.

Also your welcome, thought i might as well just dump it all into one post so its easier to keep track of for people.

Someone sent me this:

I am a bit sad that all of the Necron stuff they brought out just when I was starting is getting overhauled, but that is mostly nostalgia speaking and those walkers look amazing.

Its to firmly remind gaurd players that its only their tanks that matter what with the new tank and big gun rules coming in 9th.

Apparently another leak, this time its some CQB focused Primaris marines armed with heavy shields and power swords. I assume they are part of a squad with this guy:

Maybe, we'll see.

On a related note: started and finished my first mini painting in almost 20years today: the 1st squad of my new imp. Gaurd army.

Lessons learnt:
Contrast paint is interesting
Creed camo and militarism green are much closer in colour than I realised
I still can't paint camo, tried for DPM ended up with denison/ww2 german smock type camo.
Guilliman flesh looks awful over grey seer.

But I suppose you guys already know most of this.

Image i just came across of what appears to be the space marine side of a new starter box. There is a Necron side too but i cant find a good quality picture of it.

From the looks of it we get:

-10 Assault Intercessor Marines
-5 of those Shield/Sword Marines (including the Lieutenant from earlier)
-3 Assault Intercessor Marines on attack bikes
-3 Melta armed Primaris Marines in a new type of armour
-1 New Ancient Standard Bearer (Huge Knightly aesthetic)
-1 Primaris Executioner looking dude with a giant sword
-1 New Chaplain?

Oh i found the Necron one! Its still not great quality but you can make out some of it clearly

Seems to be (and im not good when it comes to Necrons so bear with me):

-20 (I presume, its a bit cut off but i presume its two ten miniature squads) New Necron Warriors
-2 Scarab swarms (Possibly more)
-1 Immortal type fella
-3 Big boys in the back with giant fuck off blades
-1 Even bigger three legged boy with an even bigger fuck off gun and a clawed hand
-1 Four legged walker
-1 Single scarab thing
-1 Lord (?) with a Polearm
-1 Necron figure holding another staff/polearm type weapon with 2 hunchback dudes

Lame trailer. Dark Crusade's opening did it better. It takes more than one bolter burst to take out a Necron warrior. IDK how, but they managed to take all of the threat out of Necrons which is a colossal fuck up of Wardian proportions. Imperial wankery was already taking the fun out of things and they're making it worse. It feels like the only threat to humanity at this point involves the cicatrix maledictum.
