(Silly, isn't? How people want Eldar booty. Even though it HERESY.)

Even the Emperor wants the Aeldari Booty, why else would he create a Human Webway?

Interspecies fornication? Slaanesh approves.

Seems there's quite some popularity of Eldar waifu...

The King of the Necrons when they were still flesh. He made the deal with the C'tan, he led the necrons in taking then down later, he ordered the necrons to slumber, and then he went to explore the void for 20 million years. While there he ran into the Tyranids and decided to come back and wake the necrons up, because it's hard to make new bodies if the tyrants eat all the candidates.

Also apparently he met Sanguinius at one point according to some other Necrons who told the Blood Angels, dont know if thats true or not though.

Didn't the silent king become a pacifist or something like that for a while?

Guess that's out the window.

Another question is: Will the Necrons still obey him without question or will the more insane and rebellious factions defy him?

This is 40k, there will probably be both, there will be groups pretending to obey him without question while planning to betray him, there will be a fraction pretending to defy him while actually being loyal.

Story is that he had some sort of command codes that allowed him to control the rank-and-file Necrons (the ones who lost their sense of self in the transfer), but he destroyed it prior to going into exile in the void.

Nowadays the various dynasties and Lords can and will squabble amongst themselves (Imotekh woke up in the middle of a civil war), but can generally be cowed into place by a successful Overlord or Phaeron.

Imotekh is probably the obvious example of a leader who might not fall in line with the "unified front against the 'nids" idea

Makes sense. I think the Necrons unifying to destroy the Tyranids would be temporary at best because a unified Necron empire would be unstoppable even with Imperium plot armour and weapons. The galaxy wouldn't stand a chance without digging up some Eldar Deus Ex Machina

IDK where they would go with the Tyranids if they were allowed to be devastated. I suppose destroying all the hive fleets and leaving only tiny but still diverse and powerful fleets would make sense from a gameplay perspective. Wouldn't want to invalidate the Tyranid player base by wiping all but the stragglers out.

Just make the Tyranid suffer the same fate as the Squats and be done with it.

Now that the warhammer conquest series is at an end for me and my brother, we were thinking of maybe getting started on the Age of Sigmar version, Mortal Realms and begin collecting them.

The two armies you get with it seem to be the Stormcast Eternals and Nighthaunt. I'd fancy the Nighthaunt myself, they look really cool.

Petition to have Vin Diesel rerecord all of his lines from Guardians of The Galaxy and say I am Alpharius and We Are Alpharius

I've been picking up mortal realms intermittently at the shops (it has been in store for far longer than crusade was which disappeared after 5 issues or so and has been in a wider range of stores). Yeah the night gaunts are pretty cool ghostly boney boys. I'm kind of sort of planning on using the banshee as the basis for a deamonhost conversion..

Hilariously. I had a game of Alpha Legion vs Genestealer cult on an urban map once. The joke was that everyone just kept going on with their evening as the streets ran blue-green-red with stealthy violence.

They would look excellent with my Vostroyan Skitarii, perhaps with a little conversion work to make them look more Cossack.

I wonder where the "Mechanicus = Wild West" theme is coming from. It's rather an unusual approach. Is it because the surface of Mars kinda sorta looks like Death Valley?

Probably just evolution from the general steampunk vibe they've had lately.

They unearthed a pair of STC's for Johnny Cash music and spaghetti westerns and it just went from there.
