I don't think it's the expression, if a space marine doesn't look that that it's weird, I think it's the shape. It's just... off, somehow.

Well, that was phrased rather rudely. No.

It was not phrased rather rudely, it was a perfectly fine sentence.

You don't see anything wrong with saying "Why you think it's your favorite"

You're gonna have problems interacting with people later in life bud. Though if you're already older I'm sure you've become aware of that fact.

The latter, in my case, and I realise that my reply may have not been the right choice either. I will not make excuses for my brevity, I still think that the use of 'you think' combined with the inverted commas around 'favourite' imply that my opinion is questionable, and remain disinclined to explain said opinion on those grounds - any who view the art are free to come to their own conclusions. However, I apologise to the original replier for my aforementioned brusqueness, in case their message was not intended in the way I perceived it.

No, the way you phrased it is rude, not the question. You implied that their favorite is "invalid" by placing the qualifier "why you think it's your ( favorite )" beforehand.

Oh, I have a fun crazy project to start working on. I am currently in the process of moving house, and wanted a nice small table for my new place, along with display areas for some of my armies. Then I had a terrible, brilliant idea, too mad to dismiss.
I start with a low table, just over 2' square, maybe ankle height.
I put my Armies on Parade board on it with my Orks blu-tacked in place.
I get four fairly thick perspex (or similar) sheets to slot around the board atop the table.
I get a metre diameter circle perspex or glass sheet to serve as the tabletop, and affix it to complete the box.

At some point I need to stop waiting for them to bring out proper Primaris Blood Angels kits and just buy what they have - sculpted shoulderpads are better than nothing, and I very much want to restart my Blood Angels successor chapter.

Clearly they are trying to do exactly that, and apparently with a larger margin of success than expected.

I hope one day to see them go "It was just some deranged wizard's dream". Honestly they could have just introduced a skirmish ruleset for WHFB and it would be fine. Rules wise, AoS is good but everything else is just...sigh.

Look, Age of Sigmar has massive advantages over Warhammer Fantasy, one of them being that it is a lot harder to use cheaper third party miniatures to fill out your ranks.

And of course renaming ogres to 'Ogors', goblins to 'Grots', Lizardmen to 'Seraphon' (which was Malekith's Dragon's name), orcs to 'Orruks', elves to 'Aelves' etcetera was a wonderful display of creativity and a benefit to everyone, not just the legal team... No, I cannot do it, keeping on with this nonsense would be breaking my 'no lying' policy, it is all tosh.
This is all very old news though, I finally gave in and bought some Age of Sigmar miniatures earlier this year, so the heat of the grudge has definitely settled for me.

I intended to buy the new Vampires (a couple of good ones there - pretty much the first AoS minis I actually like), but the scalecreep is so ridicilous they would’ve been unusable so I didn’t. To be perfectly honest the only thing I find positive about AoS is that some people like it and get fun out of it. I tried to give it a chance a couple of years ago, even got the rulebook (general something or other) incase the rules appealed to me even if the lore or the sculpts didn’t, but even that was a bust.

As far as Space Marines go, it's pretty good. Most Marine fiction's falls into "stoic emotionless badasses slaying everything". Brothers of the Snake, whatever you want to call the Ragbar Balckmane series, and at least the first two Blood Angel books by Ben Swallow dodged that trope hella, and I love them for it.
