It's not that difficult. Tau players using Gue'vesa have been removing lasguns for years now. The stocks are the hardest part, but that is often just left on and passed off as the new gun's stock.

Yeah i was gona leave the gun stocks on myself.

I also thought about leaving on part of the lower lasgun (around the energy pack and the left hand near the front) and then just clip some of the lower plasma gun parts off and side it on top. Ive got some greenstuff anyway in case something goes awry.

I like the idea of some guardsman regiment powering their plasma guns with lasgun energy packs. Would make sense lore-wise.

Be sure to post pics when you're done! :D

Yeah it seems kind of odd why they would a DG codex early on rather than work a full CSM codex to match the new space marine one.

Of course the whole new marine codex has everything for all our special fav chapters thing seems utterly redundant since the special ones get thier own supplements a couple of months later...

Space Marine Codex might as well have as many entries as all the other factions combined at this point.

What's that, Tau? You have heavily armored and armed anti-grav tanks? Well now Primaris also have them, but better.
What's that, Eldar? You have an entire warrior aspect specialized in heavy tank-hunting? Well now Primaris also have it, but better.
What's that, Tyranids? You can field a 3W troops choice? Well Primaris now also have it, but better.

Also we've heard that Primaris are apparently still vulnerable to overcharged Plasma, so here's a 3W, T5 troops choice to negate that threat, huehuehue.

Yeah, it really is a bit much. It's either you play the space marines, the space marines, the space marines or, if you're feeling spicy, the gross rotten evil space marines.

The necron stuff though is pretty nifty. I like the fact that they are now making them look properly alien instead of just robot skeletons.

I really dodged a bullet managing to get 50 Terminators (plus five to turn into characters) and a couple of Dreadnoughts for 20% off just before the price hike.
Speaking of, I should get back to painting them, I left my 2nd Assault Squad at the edge highlighting stage to go on holiday last week. After that I just have the Librarian and Captain to paint.

Oh and I must say, Primaris Night Lords would be the best kind of heresy. The only Primaris marine I have painted so far is this one:

When Primaris first came out and Games Workshop was going into a frenzy about how superior they were, all I could think of was that they would be perfect for Slaanesh.

The moment Cato Sicarius became a Primaris Marine, the sudden inflation of his already massive ego must have caused the creation of a new Greater Daemon of Slaanesh in the Warp.

I remember even before that some of the authors were trying to redeem his character, and then in Dark Imperium Guilliman states that he is making an effort to curb his egotistical tendencies, but people still call Abaddon names from the time before he was retconned into being competent, so I do not think that the 'I, Cato Sicarius' meme will be going away soon.

Well, he is a Hero of the Imperium and an all-around great guy, you know. You may not like it, but Cato Sicarius is what Space Marine peak performance looks like.
