Last RT game I ran had three warp incursions on what was meant to be a simple hop between two neighbouring systems.

Did you happen to have a Thargoid probe, platinum, narcotics or any other highly priced valuables in your cargo hold? That's probably what attracted them.

IIRC five crates of ambull fur, six containers of prime cut grox steaks and fifty thousand copies of the Imperial Infantryman Uplifting Primer.

Just found out there is a planet in 40k called Birmingham home to the Harbinger space marine chapter.

And apparently recruits like 10 million guardsman a year.

When were imperial knights added into 40k, where they always a thing in the lore before becoming miniatures? Or were they invented at a later date?

Now, eldar exodite knights...I don't know if they were ever released.

I just spent $170 on plastic miniatures. I wish I was poor so I couldn't afford the terrible financial decision of getting into this hobby.

Speaking of ludicrous expenses:

Been considering getting Blackstone Fortress. Like the models (especially the traitor guard ones) and it seems like an interesting game... but man that price tag...

Those Age of Sigmar "bespoke war-constructs forged from harvested bone and gifted the soul animus of great warriors and heroes" do remind me somewhat of the Necrons, but that is probably just a coincidental coincidence.
