The broadcaster is ready and I think Amsterdam 2020 (or wherever) will be one of the best Eurovisions. I'd also love to see if I can go next year!

Oh well, next year Netherlands.

Semi-Final 1 was depressing - a lot of the performances were sub-par (except Australia and Iceland), Semi-Final 2 was way better, even the boring entries of Semi-Final 2 (talking about you Ireland) were a bit interesting to watch. But this year I'm not particularly excited for the winner because no entry stands out as "Eurovision Winner", at most they feel like "Nice Songs", also I don't know, does anyone have like any comments on the hosting this year (I've got mixed reactions), AND that "mentalist" from Semi-Final 2 - staged or real?

I was going to say Haarlem 2020, but i think the Harlem Shake craze is long gone.

Also less politics.
Shame the United Kingdom came 26th, but it was the final nail in the coffin for what has been an absolutely horrific Eurovision decade. 2010 last - 2019 last. The Netherlands is close to the UK, the BBC needs to change up.

I guess maybe it's some complicated music-y thing. Like how you get a sharp divide between critics and audiences on some films.

Sweden was complicated?
North Macedonia was. Loved by juries, rightfully so, but not popular among the public. I was not surprised by that.

Maybe Rotterdam, the singer is from that area. It depends on what venue is available mostly. Ahoy Rotterdam has hosted the junior one back in 2007. Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam) did it in 2012.

And it seems to me that cryptocurrency and NFTs and such suddenly have a whooooole lot of shovel salespeople.

Well I lost the bet on the positioning I thought the UK would get 23rd, I think I was being too much of an optimist. Though I draw several very important conclusions.
1) Europe doesn't like us
2) We are liked more then Germany apparently
I heard something really funny a few days back apparently according to someone the reason we keeping doing badly in Eurovision is because of Brexit. Though considering we haven't done well since 1997 long before the vote I found that hilarious.
Though I am glad the Netherlands won it I did like the song.

Oooh! I mean either way, I'm looking to go next year because it's so close to home (UK) and I've always wanted to visit The Netherlands.

I still have faith in the UK. I know the BBC won't have ever quit it - it's cheap entertainment (very, very cheap) you know. What can the BBC put on television to perhaps beat Britain's Got Talent in the ratings (like it did last year?). I saw an article the other day about why other countries are good. The article mentioned that the UK was has the record for the most consecutive participations. Bless, that's what we have to resort to now for glory.
