As much as I want to believe the game will be as nice as the teaser has looked I have my doubts, what are your thoughts on this?

It says that it was recorded in-game, but graphics aren’t really my concern when it comes to Halo Infinite. I’m just glad they’re getting split-screen back and returning to the Halo Rings.

I’m cautiously optimistic that it’ll be better than the more recent entries. That being said, even if it isn’t good, I’ll probably play it anyway at some point or another.

I've heard rumors going around that they're going to implement some RPG elements and multiple endings

‘Twas leaked by a reliable leaker that there will be RPG elements. Plus they’ve been looking for folks who are experienced in RPG elements and FPS’s in their job application page.

Hmmmm, sounds interesting, it’d be nice to see something new. I don’t know, though, how could RPG elements be implemented into Halo without taking away from the “Halo” feel?

This belongs in Arts & Fiction, not General.

That being said I'm cautiously optimistic for it, but I'm not getting too excited after getting burned on 4 & 5.

I am hoping it only extends to the campaign, itd be a nightmare to see it in multiplayer.

I want to see a multiplayer similar to 5's but with specific game modes for people who don't want the enhanced movement

Well, it *could* spice things up if it was done right (somehow), but it’d likely take away from the whole equal start philosophy and whatnot.

Agreed, although the equal start philosophy has been leaving for awhile now, Halo 4 loadouts were honestly the start at the tearing of the seams. It’s still one of the reasons I still play Reach as opposed to the new titles

I bought Halo 4 a few years back. Even Halo Wars is better than that game.

Don’t downplay Halo Wars mate, it was a solid game. I could see someone comparing it to ODST, but Halo wars is not only another genre, but it was a respectable game at that.

Im not saying the story of Halo Wars wasnt good, I just prefer FPS games.

And I enjoyed ODST myself.

Fair enough, I enjoyed ODST as well, its just my least preferred among the bungie halo games

Hmm, ok.

Well I think we can all agree that 343 has done a poor job, I truly hope Halo-Infinite is at least Halo 2 quality. Split-Screen should help its sales, honesty the desicion to take it out to begin with was insane!

Indeed, absolutely bonkers.

343 Industries creation was interesting considering that it was essential a dream team of programmers. They could’ve done worst considering that they were a completely new team replacing the old developers. If I was Microsoft I would’ve tried to have taken a couple of Bungies developers by offering them better pay then they were getting at bungie, so people familiar with the mechanics can help the new guys.

That or co-develop Halo Reach, so they knew how to have done Halo 4

Cautiously optimistic, wait and see actual gameplay and more stuff about the plot.

i'm also cautiously optimistic. i think 343 have learned a lot from their previous mistakes, although i could be dead wrong

No matter how good it is it still won't be better than Reach.

Bungie's last; Bungie's best.

That said, I'm still excited. They seemed to have changed the art style, thank God. The 4 & 5 art style was ugly and followed the usual Sci-Fi "Too Much Detail" Trope that Bungie had managed to successfully avoid throughout their run of the series. It was one of the things that made Halo's look so unique; the fact 343 fell victim to this trope was very disappointing and off-putting.

Hope Arby is in this one, too.

It's Halo, and I know it's silly but it is probably the only franchise the brings out my inner fanboy nerd. I will book days off work and lock myself in my study to play avoiding anyone or anything who might distract me from that sweet Halo action.

I hope the Multiplayer is going to be like Halo 3's.

I don't like that it's a reboot, but I'll probably still buy it when I can get a second hand copy or when it goes on sale. I hope the bring back the Arbiter. He was great.

I'll start by saying I'm just so glad they went back to the covenant storyline and away from the promethean storyline. I hated 4 and 5's campaign with a passion. So glad it isn't Warden Eternal 6 times in a row again.

I just hope the multiplayer lives up to the game though, I miss the infection mode from Reach as well as the gun physics from 3.

In fact, I loved the cheeky NPC dialog from 3. "Tank beats everything!"
I honestly do want them to expand on Locke's story but WITHOUT the conflict between Chief and Locke.

This is going to be the first Halo game to be continuously updated and used as a long-term game platform, while also being open world and having a F2P MP. In other words, it's going to be radically different from what we've seen before. Some people aren't going to like that.

I consider 343i to be great developers, but the changes they've brought to the franchise have been unpopular. I still believe that Infinite will be a worthy conclusion to the Master Chief saga and a much better sequel than Halo 5 was to Halo 4 in terms of gameplay and story. I like what 343i is trying to do with the new installment when it comes to single player. The Banished are an interesting faction, as well.
