The 95.8 Capital FM jingles from the late-1980s to the mid-1990s.

Chris Tarrant in the mornings and Neil Fox in the afternoon rush … and in the late-1990s, Steve Penk’s prank calls that even Tony Blair (the prime minister at the time) couldn’t escape from.

Back then, 95.8 Capital FM had global awareness even though it was an Independent Local Radio (ILR) station for London.

These days the commercial stations struggle to get a good audience not because of the internet, but due to the absence of local flair, and the quality of today’s music.
