Agreed. Her poems do not promote introspection. But I must admit that I do find her presentation (the fonts she uses and the art used for her poems) nice. The poetry however? Eh.
Then again, unlike me, she's published so she must be appealing to some or must be doing something right to have the following she does.
To a certain extent, I suppose poems also have to make themselves understood. In that aspect, she's more successful than the more esoteric poets like, say, Geoffrey Hill (whose poems, while good, would probably sound the same if you read them backwards).
I'd imagine that for many people, the first thing that comes to mind when they think of poetry is the 17th-century poetry of weird people like John Donne.
