Here is some gameplay of that Marvel XCOM style game called Midnight Suns.

It looks.... okay. I wish it was a bit more idk "XCOM" ish with larger squads, similar battle set up etc but the card system for the attacks and abilities seems interesting, but also something that could be easily abused for things like lootboxes etc.

And i must have been reading those articles a while back completely wrong or they had false information because i thought this game was supposed to have no known marvel heroes in it and instead you would be making your own to fight against a supernatural threat. But you have Iron Man, Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and many more in this and it seems you only make one custom super hero who is the main character.

Guess ill have to wait and see more.

I guess I'm cool just running Blade/Magik and Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider is hands down my favorite hero and blade & Magik haven't been in anything for forever so I can divorce my opinions on Superhero movies from both of them and just have a good time.

So far, I'm finding Back 4 Blood overwhelmingly.. meh.
I know, beta and all, but still.

The card system doesn't really add anything worth noting and the rest is just L4D but less fun.
Also, despite having better graphics, it's visually far less interesting. Everything just kinda blends together.
And I seriously hope they're not keeping the shitty glowy eye'd zombies, because they look like crap.

For a game that already has three stupidly priced versions, months before being even remotely ready, you'd expect a little more.

I think Back 4 Blood's biggest failing is that it doesn't come packaged with 3 friends you've known for years who are ready to have a great time. I sat down and played the beta with my TTRPG bros and had a blast, which I admit probably has more to do with the bro's than the game, but it was a good time if you get the right party and don't just run pubs.

You make a deck out of available cards in the hub and at the start of every chapter, you can choose a card to make "active" and apply its effect.

I'm tempted to go with the old refrain of "It's still in beta." But I'm tempted to agree. Though I think for me it's less that it's missing something and more that I just can't think of something it does that L4D doesn't do or do better. It's fine, but why spend 50 Freedom Bucks on a thing when I already own something that does the same?

I won't write it off until it comes out, but I can't say I'm hype or anything.

I didn't think Like A Dragon could get any lamer. But then they saddle me with a new party member. A freaking bartender who fights by hitting people with her purse. And turns out yes, it can.

It's like a fucking parody at this point.

I was just watching the FREQ SHOW S2 EP 6. There's a brief joke at the start where Carolyn is playing a parody of Bayonetta (e.g. the main character uses her hair as a weapon, she's supposed to be a "sexually empowered/sex-positive" character, she was designed by a woman). But one of the jokes confuses and offends me: Carolyn says that when you are defeated by a boss, you get a rape animation.

AFAIK, that's not referencing anything that really happens in the game. When you get a game over in Bayonetta , she lays on the floor still and you can either choose to continue or not. If you choose not to, she's dragged down to hell by a bunch of demonic hands, not raped. What Carolyn and Anita came up with in their parody is truly tasteless, but also a shallow parody of Bayonetta. Maybe it's a reference to another game, but I can't think of any game that would treat the topic of rape so casually, at least not in today's gaming market.

Ever since i introduced my mate to Prey the other weekend when he came over ive been playing it myself, specifically the Mooncrash dlc as i never beat it before and im actually close to beating it this time and its been a lot of fun rediscovering it again. Might give the main story a few playthroughs as there are some completion achievements i would like to get but it means playing three times back to back so i might lose my patience lol

Yeah, I completely agree with that sentiment. Even though I despise twitter cancel culture, man put himself in that situation. I think in general the risks are pretty recognizable. Especially when at this point your media account is the equivalent to a brand or advertisement promoting you.

To be fair Scott is one of those Christians who are friendly towards the LGBT community. So people probably assumed he wasn't a Republican.
