Bruh, this reboot is just Saints Row Fortnite Edition. It looks like a fucking fortnite clone. It's like what California thinks gang shit is like, rather than what it is really like.

I don't think going to the Sain'ts Row series for accurate depicions of anything is going to go well.

I'm not saying it ought to be photorealistic, or not have some fun quirky things in the game. Just don't look like fucking fortnite. I just can't fuck with fortnites artistic style, and this reboot hits to close. I mean when you have a helmet with cat ears on it, you know their going for the fornite-esque hipster vibe. My major complaint isn't on realism, every game won't be perfectly realistic, and they really don't have to be photorealistic. But it's a hard pass for me, if your game looks like corny ass fortnite.

To elaborate, it looks like a T for teenagers title, then a M for Mature. Its like the game series was caught cussing, and the publisher shoved a bar of soap in Saint's Rows mouth to clean that shit up so younger audiences can play.

the biker helmet I was talking about looks like something you'd see in fortnite. The cat mascot looks more like something you'd see in some Destroy All Humans game. It's not the fact its cartoony that bothers me. Hell, I wouldn't be playing Earth Defense Force if that was it. I just hate games that try to copy fortnite in some manner, as I despise that product in more ways than one.

I can criticize the art style if I see a CG trailer. Its not gameplay. For all I know, the gameplay could be great. It looking like fortnite though doesn't fill me with confidence.

From what i understand people could buy tomatoes or something using the in game currency and throw them at the screen. I think they blocked that or something based on what ive read on reddit but who knows if thats true or not.
