I don't know what the flipping flying freaking fecking fuck that is, but it is NOT Saints Row. What the fuck did they do to it!? Where's Gat!? Where's the purple!? Where's the fun!?

Things change, we've been over this. The last mainline Saints Row game was eight years ago, this was 100% going to be a reboot and you really should have seen that coming.

Oh, judging by the Like/Dislike ratio on that trailer, I imagine that's not gonna be a lot of people. I thought Agents Of Mayhem was the peak of them screwing up this franchise, and then they do this. Christ, talk about ruining something fun.

It doesn't look ruined to me. Not as immediately attention-grabbing as the first run, but not ruined. Then again, this really is a problem with the "hardcore" gaming crowd, or whatever they've decided to call themselves these days: at the first sniff of a change they go rabid. It's a four-minute CG trailer that has no in-game assets or gameplay and it has somehow, demonstrably, "ruined" a franchise because... it has a girl with an undercut? People need to get over themselves.

It's a four-minute CG trailer that has no in-game assets or gameplay and it has somehow, demonstrably, "ruined" a franchise because... it has a girl with an undercut? People need to get over themselves.

It's ruined because:

You've gone from a badass street gang to a literal start up.
Every character looks like a reject from WatchDogs.
No Johnny Gat.
It's a complete reboot ignoring four previous games.
No Johnny Gat.
It's going for "realism" in a franchise where you previously did things like disarming an in-flight nuke set to Aerosmith.
And did I mention no Johnny Gat?

If it is? Rad, I get to have more fun. They already fucked up. And if you can't see that, well that's your problem. Me, I see that they just gutted what was once a fun franchise and turned it into WatchDogs 3. Screw that.

People like to complain about stupid shit. Im not a huge saints row person, the only two ive played properly are the first and third games and i really enjoyed the first game, third one was okay, so i wont have any interest in the game myself.

You know you can just play Saints Row 4 again, yeah? Well, you can try, I reinstalled it recently and it freezes every few minutes, I had to kill the game from the task manager five times before I even got super powers and gave up after that.

Also, no one cares about Johnny Gat. You don't even care about Johnny Gat, that's why you're talking about them "ignoring four previous games" and not five. You're ignoring Gat Out Of Hell, just like basically everyone did.

I'm a little worried about them doing a reboot too, to be honest.
I get why they're doing it. I understand the "Nowhere to go from here" argument, but still.

The first couple of SR games were just not terribly exciting. They were basically GTA clones, till they finally decided to really lean in to the over the top stuff, which made them more fun, IMO.
Hopefully they don't try to make it too grounded and essentially turn it back in to a weaker GTA again.

I had plenty of fun with it but 2 really blew all the other games out of the water. It can’t run on anything anymore but a mod team working for the devs is fixing that.
