Honestly i think the canon ending should have been that you lose and the Reapers win. But you could do a ton of damage to them and weaken them enough based on your decisions in the games, or as FGR said, leave behind data in a time capsule for the next generation of species to defeat the Reapers in the next cycle.

The problem with the entirety of Mass Effect is that the writers didn't really know how to handle the Reapers. It's difficult, admittedly, but IMO, why not just avoid that. They wrote themselves into a corner trying to make the Reapers as epic as possible which is going to leave you disappointed no matter what you do.

The plot was not Mass Effect's strongest point anyway but rather the relationships, the sociopolitics of the Council, and the little stories in them. Mass Effect 3 was IMO the writers giving up after they ran out of ideas on what to do with Shepard and cutting things early... Especially considering the aimless shitshow Andromeda ended up being.

You're seriously telling me that nobody wanted to explore the rest of the galaxy? Go to the Elcor homeworld and romance a big boi? Fight Batarian pirates in Batarian space? Do sketchy corpo shit in Asari space? Write a game centered around a Krogan?

Well they are making a new one so it will be interesting to see what ending they pick as the canon one.

It would be interesting to see what new enemy we'll be facing in Mass Effect 4. From looking at the teaser the Reapers seem to be destroyed and now the Normandy crew might just bring Shepard back to life to deal with a new threat.

IIRC there is a post credits scene you can get based on your decisions where Shepard is hinted to have survived, so they might take that as the canon ME3 ending and move on from there.

Personally I'd be happy with a game where it's less about fighting a big bad and more about recovering from the Reapers, but that's probably cause I really like base building games. The colony development parts of Andromeda were my favourite bits tbh.

Yeah id like a game focusing on rebuilding and reconnecting the galaxy as opposed to stopping another huge galaxy ending threat. Because all the relays are damaged and they say it could take time to rebuild them but that it would be done. So maybe that could tie into it and trying to reopen various relays to help end isolation for many species and then deal with whatever conflicts have emerged as a result like shifts in power, break away worlds, entire sectors that have become warzones etc.

Given Joker's medical condition and the fact that EDI is a literally a robot, I suspect any actual boning would involve quite a few of them breaking.

No one ever found out if the Wii U was a bad console or not because no one ever bought one, and that's at least partially because Nintendo belligerently refused to advertise the damn thing for some reason.

The Wii U is a really good console, for the most part. It just was advertised poorly, had a too many bad games, and got a lot of unjust hate. The console itself is pretty good, and I really liked the Miiverse. Also, it made BOTW, and BOTW is one of my favorite games.

TIL that Cyberpunk 2077 is still delisted on playstation's store

Following three delays, the highly anticipated RPG released in December 2020 with a host of technical problems, most notably on PS4 and Xbox One, resulting in the title being pulled from the PlayStation Store a week after its release.

At the time, CD Projekt pledged to improve the title with future patches—it said March 2021’s 1.2 update included over 500 improvements—but also said customers not wanting to keep the game could opt for a refund.

During a shareholder meeting on Tuesday, CD Projekt management was asked to provide an update on the progress of its discussions with Sony and when these talks might conclude. The topic was not on the agenda for the meeting, but president and joint CEO Adam Kiciński chose to answer the question.

“Unfortunately, I have no new information in this regard,” he said through a translator. “We are still in discussions and with every patch the game gets better and there is a visible progress, but as we said the decision is an exclusive decision of Sony, so we are waiting for the information about the fact that they took the decision to bring back this game. Until then I am not able to tell you anything more.”

It's a shame that Bioware didn't do anything special for the ending of ME3 like giving us a teaser or something. Oh well it doesn't matter I know that Mass Effect 4 will most likely have Shepard be alive.

Hopefully my FemShep and Liara can finally settle down, get married and have blue children....
