I recently looked up the address of the Chinese embassy to Myanmar in Yangon/Rangoon out of curiosity and the building exterior in Google Earth's satellite imagery indeed looks quite similar if not identical to, what it looks like in Tom Clancy Splinter Cell from 2002. I don't think it can be broken into though.

Tbh when they said there was going to be a Hitman 3 level in Berlin I thought "aw yeah, I might recognise some places I've visited!" But it turned out that the level was actually in a nondescript disused factory in the outskirts of Berlin. Disappointed.

So a day ago or two, I finished Resident Evil 4 on Professional Mode. The rocket launcher is a cheap tactic (that I used a few times) then I ended up not being to afford them for some fights.

I had 40+ deaths to show when I am done with the playthrough. Totally worth it to replay again with the Typewriter, Inf. Rockets, Handcannon, PRL, just about every other cosmetics for Professional Mode.

-----

And after so long, I finally got the decision to get Skyrim on a Steam Sale. I got it mainly for a Valkyrie Armor mod, BUT so far am hooked with the gameplay.

My niece showed me her minecraft world today, she is six years old and committed genocide and wiped out an entire village. Blew up their houses, poured lava everywhere and then set up little pens full of animals and cute little houses made of mushrooms and wood.

Im soo proud.

Valheim seems fun. Played a few hours with the lads. We haven't yet mastered having fire indoors without dying to smoke inhalation, but it's a bit of craic.

Valheim is quite fun for me too, but the building needs work, me and my friend found that the hard way trying to build a bigger base.

One of the problems is that there isn't a flat roof and using floors as roofs doesn't count for things that require a roof over them, such as the workbench. We tried to use the thatch roofs but those continually broke even with our attempts at supporting it. Also why do beds need a campfire near them to function?

No-one I guess but I feel that campfires should provide a health/stamina boost if placed near a bed rather than be a requirement to use them. It's weird that you can place the beds and set your spawn points but you cannot sleep, in the house me and my friend built I couldn't place a campfire anywhere inside and was forced to make a tiny sleeping shack outside which frustrated me.

It could be an interesting game.

But its probably going to be a sterilised mediocre shooter that just happens to be set to the backdrop of a very controversial battle and nothing will made of it.

Could be wrong though, who knows.

The stability system definitely doesn't make intuitive sense. What matters, as best as I've been able to figure out from reading guides, isn't actually physically holding an object up, but the number of connections between it and the ground. So if you stack 1m poles on top of each other, the one on the bottom will be blue when you mouse over it with your hammer, the ones above will go from green to red, and anything you try to attach to the red one will instantly collapse. But you can stack up the exact same number of 2m poles on top of each other. It's twice the size, but it's the same number of connections from the top to the ground.

So if you were building a house like so
Code: Select all
 /
/
|
|

You would think that if the roof is unstable then you should build supports under it.
Code: Select all
 /
/|
||
||

But that's the same number of connections between the unstable roof segment and the ground, so it isn't more stable. You can only make it more stable by using fewer objects to connect it to the ground. And at the start of the game, everything you can make is either 1m or 2m, so if you're already using the 2m poles, beams, and walls and the 2mx2m floor segments, you can't do that. Until you unlock bigger building pieces, you just have to limit how many items you use in your walls and roof and build from the ground up.

You only need the fire to be nearby, not actually in the house. Put the beds against one wall and the fire outside against the same wall and that'll work. I guess the wood walls don't provide much in the way of insulation if the heat can get through them, which probably explains why you need to sleep near a fire in the first place.

Also, if you did have the fire indoors, the building would fill with smoke and kill you. Which we discovered by trying to build a house around a fire and finding that it filled with smoke and killed us. You need to rig up some kind of chimney to have a fire indoors.

Just got fucking bamboozled in tarkov. Ran into a scav whilst doing a night time scav run on interchange. He wiggled at me after i wiggled back at him and i could tell he was AI by how he was moving. Then i saw another person running past him and he turned and looked at us, i wiggled at him, he wiggled back at me. Then did a very... robotic run towards me so i thought "Ah cool, two AI scavs".

Then he fucking shot me.

Twas not an AI scav, he was very much a player, but because it was pitch black i couldnt bloody tell. Clever bastard.

Texas is currently undergoing regular power outages, and internet keeps dropping. Luckily for me, I live next to a hospital, so they can't cut power in the grid I'm in. However, can't say the same about the Internet.

I'm going to be playing a lot of offline games, I have a feeling. For awhile atleast...
