Yes, see, they're robots because it's actually the distant future, and they're dinosaurs because dinosaurs are cool.

It makes no sense. Do a dinosaur game or a robot uprising game. But you can't do both. It's just dumb.

It's not a robot uprising game, there's just robots. They act like wild animals.

Its not a robot uprising game, the robots take various animal forms to help with their assigned tasks with trying to terraform earth. Some look like dinosaurs and other hostile animals to help deal with people trying to rip machines apart for spare parts and resources.

Also there is a virus at work.

Also the game did really well actually.

Randall Clark was the man, every time I play Honest Hearts I do the final missions wearing his armour and using his gun.

I caught one right in the feels and shed a tear the first time I experienced the story, because of the tragedy of it.

WHY Why would robots needs to act like wild animals? Or even look like them? It's DUMB.

Apparently they're terraforming the planet, I guess they're filling the ecological role of animals in the absence of biological life post-apocalypse.

D-U-M-B. Why would efficient machines take such an inefficient method to terraform? Who wrote this stupid game?

Because they were terraforming the planet and were designed by an AI to mimic the wildlife that used to live on the planet and to fulfil certain tasks. For example Tallnecks are designed as communication machines to help maintain signals to machines over long distances, and look like Giraffes as a result with large communication equipment built into their bodies and heads. Shell walkers look like hermit crabs as they area transport machine meant to carry resources gathered by other machines to cauldrons, which are basically machine factories.

Then you have things like Thunderjaws which are designed purely to kill people and mimic carnivorous dinosaurs and carry tonnes of weapons, these machines were manufacted by a rogue AI which took control of the cauldrons and sees Humans as a threat.

Then you have chariot machines that about a thousand years old and look like war machines because that is what they were built for, such as Deathbringers which are basically spider tanks

But you wont care anyway and just call it dumb so i dont even know why i bother with you

Because its a video game.

And the creators of Killzone made this game.

Dinosaurs lived on this planet for millions and millions of years, clearly the way the operate works pretty well.
Who wrote this stupid game?

John Gonzalez and Ben McCaw, and presumably some other people.

How appropriate that Steam Summer sales are starting just as soon as I start getting paychecks from my new job.

Alas, fair bank account, we hardly knew ye.

Completed the GDI campaign in C&C remastered, i think Red Alert holds up better out of the two games. Its not as clunky and the AI is not as bullshit at times. Also its really easy to cheese the AI in c&c, they cant get past sandbag walls so you can just slowly wall them off and surround them, and they wont attack the walls unless there is something close enough on the other side. Where as in Red Alert they will drive through them and blow them up on their own.

Guess its a byproduct of Red Alert coming afterwards.

Playing the Allied campaign in RA becomes easy when you use the strategy of building about a dozen light tanks and a dozen ranger jeeps, and quickly rushing the lot of them past the Tesla towers to get to the power plants at the back of the base, and then start tearing the base apart from the inside.

My game-pass could have chosen to expire when I wasn't playing. But no, it decides to run out when I'm in the middle of a game of 2K20 and up 15 on this punk playing the Lakers.

Fun.

Medium tank spam works just as well too. It was my go to for some of the later allied missions, just roll about 15-20 of them into the soviet base and rip the place apart.

Hey, I like it. I'm job hunting and can't afford to splurge $60 on a game like I used to. So for $15, I get this big ass library of games to play for the month. And I've played some good ones on there.
