I tried to use the Microsoft store to download outerworlds.

It didn't recognize my pc, so I tried to add my pc to my Microsoft account. Needed a password. I typed in my password, didn't accept it.

Repeated it until I reset my password. Reset, done tried it again, still no.

Repeat that process a few more times until I got fed up and called tech support.

Despite the guys best efforts, it didn't really get much done.

Finally, I refunded the game, and tried my other Microsoft account. Run into the same problems again.

Refunded the game twice. Fuck the Microsoft store, fuck the registering of Microsoft products to your Microsoft account for a game to install you bought on its own fucking store.

Buy physical or buy it on Epic or Steam when it comes out for that.

The Microsoft store is pain. Let me install the game I bought for the PC I have without registering my pc to your account.

The only game I have from the microsoft store is minecraft, but that was because I had bought it years ago on xbox one. They have since gotten rid of xbox one edition, pocket edition, and etc, fusing it all into one nice package of bedrock edition. Giving previous edition users the new minecraft copy that can do crossplay, and you can get it on mobile, console, and any other device that isn't pc. Safe to say, I didn't have to go through the purchasing process for it. Dodging the bullet.

Why did it lead me down a goose chase of trying to add my laptop to my Microsoft account despite it already being there, I have no fucking clue.

I wish it could have just said "you can't download this until you update your computer" instead of this wild fucking goose chase.

It didn't even take me to the page to get Windows 10 Update Assistant. I had to google that on my own as it was the last thing I could think of to make this work.

And then, it took longer to install. And then it took forever for it to restart beacuse it needed more installing.

All of this beacuse the Microsoft Store requires you to have your computer added to your windows account to install things you bought.

I sent them an customer service response message after I told them to cancel my first refund for the Outer worlds.

It was just my last two form posts on this thread.
