Oh, give me a break. You people acting like you're changing the world by boycotting a video game company.

Pop quiz: Where do you think your computer was made? Your phone? Your game consoles? Your TV? Didn't see any outrage from you people over the sweatshop conditions you know all your devices were made from.

Because you weren't looking. People are outraged about that all the time.

But suddenly a trendy new hastag pops up, and you're all revolutionaries.

This is why I hate internet activism. People pretending to care for likes. You don't really care, this boycott will do nothing, China will continue making all our stuff, Blizzard will still be rich and you'll find a new fad cause to jump on in a few weeks.

In the past week since Blitzchung's ban, several protests have been made. There was at least one official competition at a college in which participants displayed "Free Hong Kong" signs, forcing the broadcasters to cut the feed. There have also been reports of walkouts at Blizzard itself, and employees covering up plates in front of their offices that read "Every Voice Matters" to make statements.

Oh, and then you have Marco Rubio and some Democrat politician both calling out companies like the NBA and Activision-Blizzard for appeasing China.

That's all today though. Todays outrage always exists today. Especially in the media and politics where people are just pandering to get points. Call me in a month or three and you'll see everyone has forgotten about this except the Chinese government and the workers who will get fired over their misbehavior.
